What to do if you have a stye under your eyelid

Stye on the eyelid is quite common in our daily life. Stye is also called sty. It is an infection caused by bacteria. It is closely related to not paying attention to eye hygiene in daily life. When a stye appears, do not squeeze it with your hands to avoid infection. In daily life, you should pay attention to washing your hands frequently, pay attention to personal hygiene, pay attention to diet regulation, and use medication in time.

What to do if you have a stye under your eyelid

1. Notes:

Wash your hands frequently every day and pay attention to personal hygiene. Do not rub your eyes with your hands as this will bring bacteria into your eyes. Pay attention to rest, combine work and rest, do not overwork, and pay attention to rest. Eat a light diet and avoid greasy and spicy foods. This will prevent pinholes

2. Chinese medicine hot compress:

Boil wild chrysanthemum, Uncaria rhynchophylla, dandelion and Hedyotis diffusa in water, then soak gauze and apply it on the eyelids three times a day. It can clear away heat and detoxify, and effectively reduce the degree of eyelid swelling.

3. Medication for stye:

When a stye grows on the eyelid, you can drop chloramphenicol eye drops into the eye to reduce inflammation, then apply erythromycin eye ointment or chlortetracycline eye ointment to the swollen area, take amoxicillin capsules or cefadroxil capsules orally to reduce inflammation, and use Coptis chinensis tablets or Niuhuang Jiedu tablets to clear away heat, detoxify and reduce internal heat. Generally it will heal completely in a week.

4. Stye cannot be squeezed:

When the eyelids become red and swollen and pus begins to form, do not squeeze them with your hands. When a stye is squeezed, the abscess may become infected by bacteria or the inflammation itself may spread, which will cause more serious complications.

5. Dietary precautions:

Some styes are caused by bacterial infection, while others are caused by eating too much fried, spicy, teppanyaki, hot pot, chocolate and other foods, which lead to indigestion, excessive gastritis, etc. Note: When you are sick, eat a light diet, avoid spicy and fried foods, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, drink plenty of water, and get enough rest.

6. When the stye bursts:

After a few days, when the stye pustule matures and pus bursts, wipe off the pus with a clean tissue, and then use a sterile cotton swab to apply gold toxin eye ointment to reduce inflammation. Once the pus comes out, the swelling will slowly subside. Surgery is not recommended for sty removal.
