Can acupuncture be used to treat dizziness caused by cervical spondylosis?

A common symptom of cervical spondylosis is dizziness, which is mainly caused by insufficient blood supply to the brain. Compression of the nerves by the cervical spine often leads to poor blood circulation, causing dizziness. There are many treatment methods. Acupuncture can be used to dredge the meridians and promote blood circulation. When performing acupuncture, the corresponding treatment points should be selected.

Can acupuncture be used to treat dizziness caused by cervical spondylosis?

⑴ Skin acupuncture: tap Dazhui, Dazhui, Jianzhongshu and Jianwaishu to make the skin red and bleed a little, then add cupping.

⑵ Ear acupuncture: cervical vertebrae, shoulders, neck, Shenmen, sympathetic, adrenal glands, subcortex, liver, and kidneys. Choose 3 to 4 acupoints each time, stimulate strongly with filiform needles, and leave the needles in for 20 to 30 minutes; you can also use fenugreek seed plaster for pressure.

⑶ Electroacupuncture: select the Jiaji points, Dazhui, Fengchi, Jianzhongshu, Dazhui and Dazong on the neck. Choose 2 to 4 acupoints each time. After acupuncture, turn on the electroacupuncture device and stimulate for 20 minutes.

(4) Acupoint injection: Dashu, Jianzhongyu, Jianwaiyu and Tianzong. Use 2 ml of 1% procaine or 2 ml each of vitamin B1 and vitamin B12, and inject 0.5 ml into each acupoint.

Chinese medicine hot compress

1. Put fangfeng, chuanxiong, safflower, red peony root, frankincense, myrrh, Achyranthes bidentata, Notopterygium wilfordii, and Clematis chinensis into a gauze bag, sew up the bag, put it into water and boil it for 10 minutes, then take it out, wrap it with a towel and put it on the neck for hot compress for 20-30 minutes, once a day. 2. Grind medicinal drugs such as Clematis chinensis, Acanthopanax acanthopanax, Atractylodes lancea, frankincense, myrrh, Angelica dahurica, Trillium, Atractylodes macrocephala, Papaya, Asarum, Phellodendron chinense, Rhubarb, Paeonia lactiflora, Safflower, and Borneol into fine powder, mix well, add appropriate amount of salt and rice wine, stir-fry into a paste, put into two cotton bags, place the cotton bags with medicines in a pot and bake them. After heating, apply them directly to the affected area for 30 minutes, once in the morning and once in the evening. 3. Boil ephedra, radix angelicae, aconite, herbaceous radix polygoni aviculare, cinnamon twig, Achyranthes bidentata, Angelica dahurica, Schizonepeta tenuifolia, Saposhnikovia divaricata, papaya, safflower, dried ginger, mugwort, and Notopterygium wilfordii into a thick juice with half vinegar and half water. Then fry iron sand until it turns red and stir. Then put the medicine into a cloth bag, add an appropriate amount of vinegar and it will become hot. It can be applied to the affected area.

Note: 1. People who are too tired, highly stressed, or hungry should not receive acupuncture. The elderly and weak should lie down as much as possible during acupuncture, with fewer acupoints and gentle manipulation. 2. Pregnant women should not be subjected to too vigorous acupuncture. Acupuncture is prohibited on the abdomen, lumbar sacral area, and acupoints that can cause uterine contractions, such as Hegu, Sanyinjiao, Kunlun, and Zhiyin. 3. Needles are generally not left in children because they are uncooperative. It is forbidden to give needles to the fontanelle, Fengfu and Yamen acupoints of infants and young children.
