What are the effects of honeysuckle extract?

The extract of honeysuckle is generally worthy of chlorogenic acid, which is mainly used in the production of injections, tablets, capsules, etc., which is also convenient for human body absorption. Chlorogenic acid, an extract of honeysuckle, actually has many benefits to the human body, such as lipid-lowering, anti-leukemia, immune regulation and so on. Honeysuckle is a very good Chinese medicinal material. In summer, you can boil it in water and drink it.

HoneySuchle Flowers Extract Main ingredients: Chlorogenic acid

[Product properties]: White fine powder, hygroscopic

[Pharmacological action]:

1. Antibacterial and immune-enhancing effects: Experiments have shown that honeysuckle has inhibitory effects on Salmonella typhi, Salmonella paratyphi, Escherichia coli, Proteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bordetella pertussis, Vibrio cholerae, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Pneumococcus, and meningococcus.

2. Inhibit protein synthesis of drug-resistant bacteria: Honeysuckle extract has a significant stimulating effect on the respiration of drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus plants. It is mostly used for internal and external inflammation caused by drug-resistant strains, such as the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis complicated with respiratory tract infection, pneumonia, acute bacterial dysentery, and diarrhea. It is also used to reduce the rate of bacteria in the throat.

Dosage and Administration: 1 gram per 100 kg body weight. The content of effective ingredients in each gram of extract is more than 15 times that of the raw medicinal material. Each gram is still effective when adding up to 20 kg of water.

[Application form]: injection suppository, lotion, injection solution, tablet, capsule, etc.

[Product Storage]: Store in a cool, dry place away from light and high temperature.

Chlorogenic acid (CGA), also known as coffee tannic acid, is a condensed acid formed by caffeic acid and quinic acid and belongs to the phenylpropanoid compound. CGA is widely present in plants, with the highest content in honeysuckle and eucommia bark, and has a wide range of pharmacological effects.

Lipid-lowering effect

Intravenous administration of CGA can significantly reduce the levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in rat plasma, and the triglyceride level in the liver is also significantly reduced. When CGA and caffeic acid were added to the food of SD rats at the same time, it was found that the content of Vitamin E and cholesterol in the rats' lungs, liver and other tissues decreased.

Anti-leukemia effect

Chiang et al. found in vitro that CGA has weak anti-leukemia activityJ. Bandyopadhyay et al. have shown that CGA can inhibit Ber-Abl and c-Abl tyrosine kinases and induce apoptosis of Ber-Abl-positive cells, including Ber-Abl-positive primitive lymphocytes in patients with chronic myeloid leukemia. At the same time, it was also found that CGA had a destructive effect on the Ph chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia cell line K562 implanted into nude mice [Earthromycin.

Immunomodulatory effects

In vitro studies have shown that CGA can not only significantly enhance T cell proliferation induced by influenza virus antigens, but also induce human lymphocytes and human peripheral blood leukocytes to produce 7-IFN and α-IFN[26-2s]. CGA can also increase the levels of I, IgG1 and IL-4 in rats. Recent studies have also found that CGA can activate calcineurin and thus enhance macrophage function.

Hypoglycemic effect

The study by Andrade-Cetto A and Wiedenfeld H confirmed that CGA has a hypoglycemic effect in animals, and its hypoglycemic effect within 3 hours was not statistically different from that of glibenclamide [31 J. Its mechanism may be related to the inhibition of glucose-6-phosphate translocase and glucose absorption.
