What to do when the head is tilted back and the cervical spine hurts

In daily life, some bad habits are often an important cause of cervical spondylosis. If you do not pay attention to strengthening your care, the symptoms may worsen and cause great harm to the patient's daily work and life. Some patients with cervical spondylosis will experience cervical pain when they tilt their heads back. This is a symptom of the disease caused by problems in the cervical spine.

1. Regular life

Everyone must know that the days are long and the nights are short, so try to arrange less nightlife at night so that you can get enough rest at night and let your tired cervical spine get enough rest.

2. Turn over less during sleep

In the summer, due to the high indoor temperature, you will toss and turn more often, sometimes you will end up on the other side of the bed. This frequent turning over can easily cause a stiff neck and cervical pain, so try to reduce the frequency of turning over.

3. Maintain a good sleeping posture

The correct sleeping posture is really important for cervical spondylosis. Especially in the summer, some people like to take a nap. If children under five years old have an incorrect posture, it is particularly easy to induce cervical spondylosis. Especially for those who fall asleep at their desks with their heads drooped, the pressure on the cervical spine is very great. If you really want to sleep, you must choose to lie on your side and raise your head.

4. Massage therapy

Knead the neck, shoulders and arms. Procedure: Sit down for self-massage. Open the thumb and put the other four fingers together, apply force with the base of the thumb, and knead the muscles on both sides of the cervical spinous process from the occipital region downwards until you can touch the upper back with your hand. Knead repeatedly for 3 minutes, then use the same technique to knead the muscles of the affected upper limb and neck, as well as the upper arm and forearm, alternating repeatedly while kneading and kneading. Sometimes you can feel a cord-like substance at the painful area. This is often the site of the lesion and can be kneaded intensively. The technique should be continuous and with slight force. It is best if you feel a sore and swollen feeling in the kneaded area. Repeat the technique for about 5 minutes, and you can switch hands. Efficacy: This method has the effect of relaxing muscles, relieving spasms and relieving pain.
