If accompanied by infection, it may have symptoms of acute cholecystitis. There may be no positive physical signs, and in a few cases where the stones are too large, the gallbladder may be palpable.

2. Gallstones in the cystic duct

There may be symptoms of biliary colic, sudden persistent pain in the right upper abdomen, paroxysmal aggravation, radiating to the shoulders and back, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, etc. For detailed consultation points, please refer to acute and chronic cholecystitis. There is tenderness in the right upper abdomen and positive Murphy's sign. An enlarged gallbladder with tenderness can be felt in the right upper abdomen. If gallbladder perforation occurs, there may be signs of acute peritonitis such as tenderness in the whole abdomen, rebound tenderness, and muscle tension. Some patients may develop jaundice.
