Little finger numbness

Little finger numbness

I believe that you must have encountered numbness in your little finger in your daily life, especially when the hand keeps a posture for a long time. Numbness in the little finger is more common. However, numbness in the little finger caused by this factor is generally not caused by certain diseases. However, for middle-aged or elderly friends, numbness in the little finger requires treatment.

For occasional numbness in the little finger, we do not need to take special treatment. However, for people who often have numbness in the little finger, it is necessary to distinguish them according to their age, and then find out the cause, so as to carry out targeted treatment.

Transient cerebral ischemia is a common cause of numbness in the fingers of the elderly. The elderly often suffer from hypertension and hyperlipidemia. Hypertension can cause vasospasm, and hyperlipidemia can cause vascular sclerosis. These factors can lead to transient cerebral ischemia. The blood viscosity of the elderly will increase, and the blood flow will be slow during sleep at night, which can easily cause transient cerebral ischemia and lead to numbness of fingers. Therefore, the elderly should check their blood pressure, blood tests and blood rheology tests regularly. If they have high blood pressure or high blood lipids, they should receive treatment to lower their blood pressure and blood lipids. You should also drink plenty of water and take 1 to 2 small-dose enteric-coated aspirin tablets before going to bed to reduce blood viscosity. You can also use nimodipine, salvia miltiorrhiza, and vinca lutong under the guidance of a doctor to improve blood supply to the brain and eliminate numbness in your fingers.

Numbness in the little finger of young people may be caused by ulnar nerve damage. After ulnar nerve injury, the sensation of the ulnar side of the hand, the entire little finger, and the ulnar side of the ring finger disappears. The deep branch of the ulnar nerve is the motor branch and is sometimes punctured or penetrated. In the wrist, the ulnar nerve is susceptible to laceration. The superficial branch of the ulnar nerve is also susceptible to laceration in the fingers and palm.

After understanding the reasons for numbness in the little finger at different ages, I hope you can make the following judgments based on your own age. In addition, for people with spinal diseases, they will also have symptoms of numbness in the little finger. For this situation, if you want to solve it, you must pay attention to the movement of the spine and don’t sit still every day.
