How to treat nail fungus

Onychomycosis is a disease that can be transmitted to two people if one person has it. In fact, it means that onychomycosis is a contagious disease. If it is not treated in time, it will cause great harm to the patient's life and study. In particular, if one person in the family has onychomycosis and it is not cured, then other family members will also have the problem of onychomycosis. Treatment can be said to be the best way to solve the pain of onychomycosis.

There are many clinical methods for treating onychomycosis. Take traditional Chinese medicine for example. Traditional Chinese medicine uses many folk remedies to treat onychomycosis. So what other clinical methods can be used to treat onychomycosis? Let's take a brief look at it together.

Prescription 1

Take an appropriate amount of javanica, remove the core and set aside. Soak the affected nail in warm salt water until it softens. Use a pedicure knife to scrape off the softened, thickened and necrotic part of the fingernail or toenail. Squeeze the oil out of the javanica and apply it on the affected nail. Each nail requires 1 to 2 grains of Brucea javanica, once a day, which can be applied continuously for 2 to 3 months. This recipe can have the effects of clearing away heat, detoxifying and killing fungi.

Prescription 2

Take 18 grams each of Schizonepeta, Saposhnikovia, Safflower, Rehmannia glutinosa, and Alum, plus 30 grams of Gleditsia sinensis and Fructus Cynanchum wilfordii, and soak them in 150 grams of rice vinegar for 5 days. Soak the affected nail in Chinese herbal vinegar solution for half an hour every day, and it is recommended to continue for 2 to 4 weeks.

Prescription 3

Take 90 grams of angelica and 500 grams of vinegar and simmer them in a pot over low heat until it becomes a thick juice. After cooling, take an appropriate amount and soak the affected nail for half an hour, once in the morning and once in the evening, for at least 10 days. This recipe has the effect of detoxifying and killing insects.

Prescription 4

Take 20-40 grams of Fructus Dioscoreae, Fructus Kochiae, Fructus Cnidium, Cortex Dictamni, Sophora flavescens, Alum, Sichuan pepper, and Periostracum cicadae, add 3000 ml of water and boil into a thick juice, then add 100 grams of vinegar and mix, use the warm solution to wash the affected nails once a day. This recipe has the effects of clearing away heat and dampness, dispelling wind and relieving itching.

Chinese medicine diet therapy believes that mixing daily ingredients into a medicinal solution can also serve as an auxiliary treatment for onychomycosis.

Method 1

Take 250 grams of ginger and mash it into powder. Put it in a glass container, add 500 grams of high-proof liquor (above 50 degrees), seal and soak for 2 days before use. You can apply ginger wine to the affected area several times every morning and evening, or soak the affected nail in ginger wine for a few minutes. This method can detoxify and kill bacteria, helping the affected nails recover.

Method 2

Soak the affected nail in hot water to soften it, use a knife to cut it as thin as possible, and then soak it in white vinegar for 30 minutes. Do this once a day for long-term use. White vinegar has the effect of detoxification and sterilization, and can also soften cuticles.

Method 3

Take 150 grams of garlic, mash it and put it into 200 grams of aged vinegar. After soaking for half a day, soak the affected nail in the liquid for 2 minutes. Soak 4 to 6 times a day. This method also has a fungicidal effect.

Method 4

Grind Impatiens into powder, add appropriate amount of honey and mix into a paste. Apply the paste thickly on the affected nail, cover with plastic wrap and fix it. Do this once a day. It can be used for a long time until it is cured. This method has the effect of relieving pain and reducing swelling.

Onychomycosis is contagious

As a result of scratching, onychomycosis can spread the fungus to other parts of the body, causing new ringworm. Onychomycosis can also be contagious and cause onychomycosis and dermatophyte disease in family members or other people.

Onychomycosis can induce other diseases

Especially for lesbians, onychomycosis can be transmitted to cause gynecological diseases such as genital fungal infection and Candida albicans vaginitis. Onychomycosis is an invisible source of infection that often spreads pathogenic fungi to the outside world.

Onychomycosis causes psychological problems

Patients with onychomycosis, especially when long-term treatment is ineffective, often feel that they are plagued by the disease and cannot get rid of it. They often feel embarrassed and frustrated. Especially when certain aspects, such as work, marriage, life, and social life are affected and fail due to onychomycosis, the psychological blow to patients is greater than that of normal people, and they often develop inferiority complex.

Onychomycosis can limit job options

The hazards of onychomycosis may also limit the patient's job type, such as doctors, nurses, silk weavers, public relations workers, etc. Since onychomycosis affects appearance and often gives people a bad impression, jobs that require a high image, such as reception, flight attendant, model, etc., are often not accepted.

Treating onychomycosis

The prevention and treatment of onychomycosis and onychomycosis should first be to actively prevent and treat common tinea diseases. More attention should be paid when the nail is traumatized or malnourished.

Onychomycosis is one of the more difficult to treat dermatophytes. Relapse is often possible after clinical cure. In general, onychomycosis and onychomycosis are best treated with local therapy.

1. Apply 30% glacial acetic acid or 10% glacial acetic acid to the affected nails once a day for 3 to 6 months. The diseased nail should be scraped thinly before applying the medicine, so that the treatment will be better. When applying 30% glacial acetic acid, care should be taken to protect the skin around the nails.

Apply half of 2.6% salicylic acid, 12% lactic acid, 95% alcohol solution, 10% iodine tincture or half of 10% lactic acid to the diseased nail. Its usage, treatment and precautions are the same as above.

3. For medical nail removal, apply 40% urea ointment and then remove the diseased nail.

Alternatively, you can take 200 mg of Sporanox orally, twice a day, for 3 weeks. Take it for one week at the beginning of each month and then stop taking it. Take it for another week at the beginning of the second month and another week at the beginning of the third month. You can also take Levitra orally.

The above are some common methods for treating onychomycosis. Finally, I would like to remind you that if a family member has onychomycosis, you must pay attention to separating their cleaning products to avoid the harm of infection. At the same time, if you have already got onychomycosis, it is best to treat it in time so that you can stay away from the harm of the disease as soon as possible.
