Five actions to prevent cervical spondylosis

Cervical spondylosis is a common disease among the elderly, but in recent years, the incidence of cervical spondylosis has become younger and younger, which is related to some bad living habits. Therefore, for young and middle-aged people, they must strengthen the prevention of cervical spondylosis in their daily lives. They can adopt some exercise and fitness methods to achieve the preventive effect. The best method of prevention is to take precautions before they occur.

Five actions to prevent cervical spondylosis. The cervical spine is the part with the largest range of motion in the entire spine, but in daily life we rarely have the opportunity to move to its maximum range. For elderly patients with cervical spondylosis, aging and degenerative changes of the cervical spine affect its physiological functions and cause a series of clinical symptoms. Through exercise, the physiological function of the neck of elderly patients can be enhanced and symptoms can be eliminated. The exercise for treating cervical spondylosis in the elderly is very simple, do it once in the morning and evening, each time for about 10 minutes. The specific methods are as follows: 1. Around the neck: Stand or sit, relax your head and neck, and rotate them alternately in clockwise and counterclockwise directions. Do this 6 times in total. 2 Look up at the sky: Stand or sit, put your hands on your hips, tilt your head back to look at the sky, and gradually increase the amplitude of the movement. Pause for a few seconds and then return to normal. Do this 8 times in total.

3 Look around: Stand or sit, put your hands on your hips, and rotate your head and neck left and right alternately. Whenever you reach the maximum limit, turn back slightly and then exceed the original range. The eyes should also look backward or upward as much as possible. Rotate 10 times on each side. 4 Neck and arm resistance: Stand or sit, cross your hands and press them against the back of your head. Stretch your head and neck backward with force, and use your hands to resist it. Continue to resist for a few seconds and then return to the original position. Do this 6 to 8 times in total. Another method is: stand or sit, clasp your hands behind your head, and clamp your neck on both sides with your forearms. Turn your head and neck to the left with force, and at the same time, use your left forearm to resist it. Continue to resist for a few seconds, then relax and return to the original position, and then do it in the opposite direction. Do each 6 to 8 times. 5 Turn around and look back: Stand in a lunge position with your right front, rotate your body to the left, lift your right palm as high as possible, stretch your left palm downward with force, and look back at your left hand. After returning to the original position, change to left front lunge, in the opposite direction but with the same movements. Alternate between left and right, and do it 8 to 10 times in total.

If patients with cervical spondylosis are not treated carefully, they may develop other diseases. Various symptoms such as headache, dizziness, tinnitus, blurred vision, poor memory, slow reaction, palpitations, chest tightness, shortness of breath, hiccups, arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, etc. are all caused by not properly treating cervical spondylosis. Therefore, the elderly should pay attention to cervical spondylosis. There are more than 40 cervical spine-related diseases, accounting for more than 80% of all chronic diseases and are easily misdiagnosed. Any "chronic disease" with unknown causes, recurring attacks, and long-term incurable disease may be considered to be cervical spondylosis.
