How to cure Achilles tendon strain quickly?

In modern society, people have begun to choose fitness to maintain their health, but any exercise involves some risks. Many people may suffer from Achilles tendon strain when running or playing basketball. Many people do not know how to treat this disease properly so that their injuries can heal faster. So, how can you heal an Achilles tendon strain quickly?

First, how can you cure Achilles tendon strain quickly? Achilles tendon injuries are usually cumulative. Most Achilles tendon injuries are in the form of Achilles tendonitis. The consequence of acute accidental injury is Achilles tendon rupture. The Achilles tendon is the longest and strongest tendon in the human body. It is about 15 cm long. It starts from the middle of the calf and gradually thickens and narrows from top to bottom. It is narrowest but thicker at the back of the ankle and ends at the lower half behind the calcaneal tuberosity. The main function of the Achilles tendon is to stabilize the ankle joint when standing and prevent the body from leaning forward. It also plays an important role in weight-bearing, running and jumping. There are many causes of Achilles tendon injury, which can be directly caused by trauma or secondary injury caused by other diseases such as tendinitis, bursitis and rheumatoid arthritis. In addition to direct violence, Achilles tendon injuries are mostly caused by indirect violence, such as when the knee joint is straightened, the toes touch the ground, or the foot is forcefully extended, and the Achilles tendon suddenly contracts violently, it can cause Achilles tendon injury. Elderly people are more susceptible to injury due to Achilles tendon degeneration.

Second, the Achilles tendon is the large tendon that joins the two main calf muscles to the back of the heel bone. There are generally two causes of Achilles tendon injuries in athletes: acute injury and chronic strain. Liu Xiang's injury belongs to the latter, which is caused by the accumulation of sports injuries caused by long-term high-intensity training and frequent competitions. Such injuries are very common in track and field. When running, jumping, and landing from a height during exercise, the body will repeatedly over-stretch the Achilles tendon in order to maintain balance. The tissues around the Achilles tendon are also stretched and rubbed against the Achilles tendon, causing damage to the small blood vessels in the loose tissue, resulting in tissue congestion, edema, exudation and degeneration, followed by tissue thickening or adhesion.

How can an Achilles tendon strain be cured quickly? Early surgical treatment of sports-related Achilles tendon injuries is the key to the recovery of Achilles tendon function. Non-surgical treatments make it difficult to achieve satisfactory alignment of the retracted broken ends, and the defect is eventually connected by scars, which causes the Achilles tendon to be relatively lengthened, affecting functional recovery and increasing the incidence of Achilles tendon re-rupture. Therefore, for fresh Achilles tendon injuries, if there are no contraindications, immediate surgical repair is best. Although non-surgical treatment causes less pain to the injured, the regenerative repair capacity of autologous tendon tissue is limited. Non-surgical treatment cannot ensure close contact between the opposite ends of the severed tendon, and it often takes a long time for the new tissue filling the gap to be converted into tendon fibers. In addition, the treatment of Achilles tendon injury should avoid lengthening of the tendon, which is difficult to achieve with non-surgical treatment. Therefore, for most patients with sports-related Achilles tendon injuries, surgical treatment should be the preferred method.
