Traditional Chinese Medicine Massage

Traditional Chinese Medicine Massage

In traditional Chinese medicine, there are many therapies that can alleviate human health problems. For example, bone setting massage is a common treatment and health care method. It has a certain therapeutic effect on diseases such as tendon injury, tendon slippage, dislocation and fracture. Of course, there are things to note when adopting the treatment method of chiropractic massage. Next, I will introduce you to the relevant knowledge of Chinese medicine bone setting massage!

1. Scope of use

Bone-setting massage is suitable for the following aspects:

① Tendon injury. Completely ruptured muscles, tendons, and ligaments require surgical sutures to reconstruct, but partial ruptures can be reconstructed using appropriate techniques to straighten the ruptured tissue and then fix it. This can relieve pain and help the broken ends grow together.

② Tendon slippage. A cord-like bulge can be felt at the painful area, and joint movement is severely impaired. If not treated properly, it may turn into tendonitis and produce adhesions. In this case, manipulation should be used as soon as possible to reduce it.

③ For dislocation and subluxation of various joints, after bone setting, treatment measures such as fixation, application of medicine, and medication can be used to accelerate recovery according to different situations.

④ New fractures. For closed fractures, bone setting techniques are one of the main means of treating fractures.

2. Classification

Bone-setting massage is divided into two categories: bone-setting techniques and muscle-regulating techniques according to their effects and indications. Bone-setting manipulation is mainly used for fractures and dislocations, restoring the normal anatomical position of bones and joints through manipulation. The eight methods of bone setting are the basic methods of bone setting. The muscle-regulating technique is mainly suitable for relieving muscle spasm and pain caused by acute and chronic injuries of soft tissues in various parts of the body. Such as thumb pushing and kneading method, palm base pushing and kneading method, tiger's mouth pushing and kneading method, finger pressing method, lifting and pinching method, etc.

3. Notes

Urban white-collar workers use computers for long periods of time and often work in a fixed posture, which causes muscle strain and vertebral dislocation, making cervical spondylosis as common as a cold. Rehabilitation experts believe that orthopedic massage can target vertebral dislocations and use techniques to reposition the joints. But it is worth emphasizing that manual reduction is not a health massage. Experts emphasize that when performing manual reduction, the diagnostic basis of symptoms, palpation and X-rays must all be consistent with the premise of "cervical dislocation". Otherwise, if you don't understand bone correction, don't do it recklessly. If you damage your neck, the consequences will be very serious.
