1. Fengchi Point

Fengchi point is located below the occipital bone of the neck. It is very easy to find because of the two obvious depressions at the back of the head. There is an ancient saying that "wind comes from above". Fengchi point is the gateway for the invasion of wind evil. It has the effects of dispersing wind and relieving exterior symptoms, refreshing the brain and opening the orifices, and dredge meridians and activate collaterals. It is an important acupoint in the human body. Regularly pressing the Fengchi point is not only effective for colds and nasal congestion, but also has a certain effect on other symptoms such as headaches and colds.

Massage technique: Use the index fingers of both hands to press the Fengchi acupoint tightly, with force applied from bottom to top. Massage twice a day, each time for 2 minutes.

2. Dazhui Point

The Dazhui point is on the midline of the back. When you lower your head, a large bone will lift up. This bone is called Dazhui, and below Dazhui is the Dazhui point. In traditional Chinese medicine, Dazhui is the "meeting point of all yang" and has the effects of clearing away heat, relieving exterior symptoms, and stopping abuse and epilepsy. It is mainly used for colds, coughs, asthma, nasal congestion, night sweats, headaches, shoulder and back pain, etc., and has the effect of strengthening the body and preventing diseases.

Massage technique: Rub your palms together to warm them up, and then rub them up and down along the midline of the back with the Dazhui point as the center until the back feels warm.

3. Yingxiang Point

Yingxiang point is located on the face, one centimeter next to the wing of the nose. (On the side of the midpoint of the outer edge of the nose wing, in the nasolabial groove.) Ying means to welcome and Xiang means fragrance. This point is good at treating nasal diseases and restoring the sense of smell, hence the name Yingxiang. Yingxiang point is located on the face, so it is the main point for treating facial diseases. It has the effects of dispelling wind, opening the orifices, regulating qi and relieving pain. It is mainly used to treat nasal congestion, sinusitis, nasal polyps, loss of smell, and difficulty breathing.

Massage technique: Place the tips of your index fingers on the Yingxiang acupoint and rub it in a circular motion. It will be effective after 1 to 2 minutes.

4. Gaohuang Point

Mentioning Gaohuang, everyone will think of the idiom "being seriously ill", so Gaohuang is an important acupoint in the human body. The Gaohuang point is located on the back, below the spinous process of the fourth thoracic vertebra, four finger widths to the left and right (or three inches to the left and right), on the inner side of the shoulder blade. It hurts when pressed. Gaohuang point is mainly used to treat cough, asthma, night sweats, shoulder and back pain, etc. Frequent use of this point has the effect of strengthening the body.

Massage technique: Lie on the back of the chair and use your shoulders to support the back of the chair, so that you can squeeze the Gaohuang point. Or you can stand in an upright position, bend your knees slightly, raise your arms to the same height as your shoulders and pull them back hard. You will feel your shoulder blades being squeezed. Hold the position for a few seconds. This can effectively massage the sports Gaohuang point.

5. Suliao Point

The Suliao point is located on the face, right in the center of the tip of the nose, and is very obvious. Suliao point is mainly used for nasal diseases and first aid: such as nasal congestion, epistaxis, sinusitis, nasal polyps, rosacea, nasal sores and other nasal diseases as well as childhood convulsions, drowning first aid, hypotension, shock, etc. It is a commonly used acupoint for colds and flu.

Massage technique: Use the tip of your middle finger to massage the Su Liao point on the nose. There is no limit to the number of times and time. You can use your hands to massage the acupoint on the tip of the nose at any time in your life to achieve a relieving effect.
