It needs to be performed under X-ray and is subject to a certain amount of radiation exposure. The lesion image is projected onto a fluorescent screen through X-rays rather than directly observing the lesion. Therefore, the positive rate is not as high as gastroscopy, and biopsy and treatment cannot be performed at the same time.

What should I pay attention to when doing gastric X-ray?

Patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding should not undergo barium contrast examination too early after bleeding. If this examination is performed too early, it may cause the bleeding to worsen. The examination should be performed after the bleeding stops and the condition has stabilized for about two or three days. Barium contrast examination is still very practical.
