Scar skin mainly refers to the self-repair of the skin itself in response to skin trauma. At this time, a certain amount of scar tissue will be formed. For more serious scars, the self-repair of the skin cannot completely eliminate them. For example, deeper wounds, larger wounds, etc., hypertrophic scars and keloids are likely to form at this time, and they should be treated in time. What causes scarred skin? No matter how deep the wound is or how large the trauma is, it can eventually repair itself and return to its original skin without forming scars or only leaving inconspicuous marks. Some people will be left with ugly scars as long as they have wounds. Some will be left with keloids, which look like red worms crawling on the skin, and some will even be left with big lumps of flesh. Generally, people will form scars when they get wounded. Some scars are pigmented, some are shiny, some are white like white spots, some are black like black spots, some are uneven, some are hard, some are soft, and some scars can deform facial features. There are many reasons for scars on the skin, including sores, pits left by chickenpox, burns, scalds, electric burns, falls, knife wounds, car accidents, scars left by surgery, skin grafting, laser surgery, liquid nitrogen surgery, dermabrasion, scratches, allergies, and many more. Although the reasons are different, the damage to the skin is ultimately the same, that is, scarred skin. Four major clinical characteristics (1) Hypertrophic scars; (2) Unstable scars; (3) Cancerous scars; (4) Keloid scars. When the body suffers trauma, blood will flow out of the wound almost immediately, and the blood will quickly form clots to provide temporary protection for the wound. Within 72 hours, new connective tissue will form. Later, the surface of the new connective tissue will be covered by new epithelium, and blood vessels and nerve fibers will grow inside, which clinically manifests as scar healing. Therefore, scar is an important product of wound healing. Without scar formation, there will be no wound healing. After the scar skin heals, the scar continues to proliferate, forming a hypertrophic scar. The formation of hypertrophic scars is mainly caused by the formation of a large amount of collagen fibers. Scar quality (physique) also shows genetic characteristics. Scar quality has no obvious relationship with the severity and degree of skin operation. People with scar-prone skin make up a very small proportion of the population, and the scar-prone skin will appear after the wound heals. Surface scars continue to grow, not only affecting the appearance, but also causing local pain, redness and itching. Scar contraction also affects functional movement. There is no need to worry if you have scarred skin, as long as you receive timely treatment. |
