The human body has many organs, and different organs are located in different parts. These parts are composed of other tissues, and these parts also have different functions. As long as it is a part of the body, it will have certain effects and functions. It provides a lot of help to our lives. The superficial inguinal ring is actually a part of our body, but many people may not know it. So what is the superficial inguinal ring? The external oblique aponeurosis has a nearly triangular opening above and outside the pubic tubercle, called the superficial (subcutaneous) ring of the inguinal canal. The superficial ring of the inguinal canal in a normal adult can accommodate the tip of a finger, through which the spermatic cord (male) and the round ligament of the uterus (female) pass. The inguinal canal is an oblique fissure in the abdominal wall tissue above the medial half of the inguinal ligament, 2.5 to 5.0 cm long. The inguinal canal is parallel to the inguinal ligament and is not a true tubular structure. It consists of internal and external openings and four walls: upper, lower, anterior, and posterior. The inguinal canal has an internal opening and an external opening. The internal opening is the deep ring of the inguinal canal, and the external opening is the superficial ring of the inguinal canal. 1. Internal opening of the inguinal canal: The internal opening of the inguinal canal is located about one horizontal finger above the midpoint of the inguinal ligament. It is the opening of the spermatic cord internal fascial sac formed by the external protrusion of the transverse abdominal fascia. The inferior epigastric artery is the landmark for identifying the internal opening. Above the internal opening is the arcuate lower edge of the transverse abdominal muscle, and below is the iliopectine fasciculus; in front is the origin of the lowest fibers of the internal oblique muscle; behind is the preperitoneal tissue and its preperitoneal inguinal ring, and further back is the lateral inguinal fossa; on the outside is the origin of the lowest fibers of the transverse abdominal muscle; on the inside is close to the inferior epigastric artery, vein and inter-foveal ligament. 2. External opening of the inguinal canal: The medial edge of the external opening of the inguinal canal is the medial crus, the lateral edge is the lateral crus, the upper edge is the intercrural fibers, and the lower edge is the inverse ligament and the lateral 1/2 of the pubic crest. These four edges surround the external oblique aponeurosis hiatus and form the external opening of the inguinal canal. The anterior wall of the inguinal canal is composed of the external oblique aponeurosis and the internal oblique muscle; the posterior wall is composed of the transverse abdominal fascia and the inguinal falx; the upper wall is the arcuate edge of the combined tendon of the internal oblique muscle and the transverse abdominal muscle, and the lower wall is composed of the groove-shaped medial half of the inguinal ligament connected to the transverse abdominal fascia and the lacunar ligament. |
