Testicles move up to the groin

The testicles are male-exclusive reproductive organs that control the activity of male sperm and are also needed by women when they conceive. However, there are often problems with the testicles. Some of these problems have no signs, and some are caused by special reasons. For example, testicular upward migration is a special case that can cause a lot of trouble. So what is testicular upward migration in the groin?

This is normal. The testicles do not have the ability to move on their own and will not move on their own. However, as the ambient temperature changes greatly, the scrotum has a protective effect on the testicles, especially in terms of temperature changes, it will contract or relax to maintain the temperature. Through such adjustments, the testicles are always at a constant temperature to ensure the quality of sperm.

The inguinal canal is a normal physiological and anatomical structure. The entrance of the inguinal canal is relatively loose in some people. When the testicles are exposed to relatively cold stimulation, the levator testis muscle will contract or relax depending on the temperature or other stimulation, pulling the testicles up into the inguinal canal or down into the scrotum, thereby keeping the testicles in a relatively constant temperature environment. It is a self-protection mechanism of the testicles.

There are several likely scenarios:

1. Cryptorchidism. During the development of male testicles, they will slowly descend from the abdominal cavity into the scrotum. In some patients, this condition will occur if their testicles do not descend normally into the scrotum. This situation is unlikely.

2. Inguinal hernia is divided into oblique hernia, direct hernia, and femoral hernia. You said that the testicles sometimes move to the groin. Is it that a swelling appears in the groin? It is more likely to appear when standing or exerting force on the abdomen, and it disappears when lying flat. Sometimes it is found that it moves to the scrotum? If this is the case, an inguinal hernia is most likely.

No matter what the situation is, it is better to go to the hospital. After all, we can't even give you a physical examination, and physical examination is very important in diagnosis. Go to a larger hospital and register for general surgery or urology.
