How to treat traumatic hematoma

How to treat traumatic hematoma

It is inevitable to bump into things in life. Sometimes the area that is sprayed is a little serious. If you are not careful, it will easily become red, hot and painful. At this time, you must pay special attention to avoid bacterial infection and inflammation. Especially in the case of physical injuries, it is best not to perform cupping, which can easily trigger the wound. You can disinfect the wound area and take some antibiotics, which can relieve the pain well. So besides these, what other methods are there to deal with traumatic hematomas?

In the current situation, there is still subcutaneous hematoma, which will recover slowly. The main thing is to pay attention to the subcutaneous tissue and make sure there is no hematoma. You can try to press the local area yourself. The hard situation you described is still local soft tissue injury and local tissue edema. If you feel a similar fluctuation, it means that there may be subcutaneous hematoma. It is best to do an ultrasound. If the hematoma is not large, it can be absorbed by itself. If it is relatively large, you should consider whether to undergo surgical treatment, such as local suction or incision and drainage!

If the hematoma is not large, it can generally be absorbed slowly by itself. In addition to anti-inflammatory treatment to prevent infection, you can also do hot compress treatment, using a hot towel or a hot water bottle, etc.; take some blood-activating and blood-stasis-removing drugs orally, pay attention to rest, and try to elevate the affected area. If the hematoma is relatively large, blood can be drawn and then anti-inflammatory treatments can be given.

Considering your case is a soft tissue hematoma caused by trauma, it is caused by trauma-induced bleeding in the soft tissue. It is recommended that you do hot compress treatment, you can use a hot towel or hot water bottle for external application; take appropriate oral drugs for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis and healing injuries, such as Duyiwei Capsules, Shangke Qiwei Tablets, etc.;

Recommendation 1. When a scalp hematoma occurs, avoid applying medicinal wine to the hematoma area or massaging it, as this will make the bleeding worse. You can apply pressure with a gauze bandage or apply ice cubes, ice water, or a hot water bottle filled with cold water to the area to promote blood vessel contraction and stop further bleeding.

2. After 24 hours, you can apply medicinal wine, safflower oil, and use hot compress to promote the absorption of hematoma. Smaller hematomas can usually be absorbed and healed after a few days.

3. Large hematomas are difficult to absorb. You can shave off your hair, disinfect the area, and then use an injection needle to repeatedly puncture and draw out the accumulated blood. However, it is prohibited to puncture and bleed at will. This should be handled by a doctor.

4. If the above treatment methods are ineffective for a huge hematoma, the patient should be sent to the hospital for surgery to stop the bleeding. If the hematoma becomes infected and festers, surgery should be performed to incise and apply medication for treatment.
