What to do if your nose stinks

What to do if your nose stinks
In daily life, people are often troubled by various nasal problems. In winter, the weather is cold and clear water will flow from the nose. Sometimes people get angry due to the pressure of life, which leads to rhinitis and severe sinusitis. If people suffer from sinusitis, they may have a bad smell in their nose. Severe bad smell in the nose can affect our lives. So what are the solutions we can take to deal with a smelly nose? Let’s talk about it below.

1. A smelly nose may be caused by nasal polyps. Nasal polyps block the nasal cavity and sinuses, causing the secretions in the nasal cavity to be unable to be discharged, causing pus to accumulate inside, so you feel a bad smell when you breathe. You can take a CT scan, and you can see that the nasal cavities on both sides of your nose are black. Normally it should be white. The black part is where the pus is. Nasal polyps can only be treated with surgery, which has a very small chance of recurrence. Do not try conservative treatment, as it may not be effective. It is better to have surgery as soon as possible, otherwise it will harm your health. Generally, patients can be discharged from the hospital within 7 to 9 days.

2. Atrophic rhinitis is mainly caused by atrophy of the nasal mucosa, periosteum and turbinate bones; although the nasal cavity is relatively wide, the nasal mucosa has lost its normal physiological function, and due to the formation of dryness in the nose, the patient still feels poor ventilation. When there is a bacterial infection, its toxins and excrement produce a foul odor. Use a medical cotton swab dipped in sesame oil to rub the nostrils, then insert it into both nostrils and take it out after about an hour. Do this twice a day and you will see results in a week. It has the effects of moisturizing dryness, clearing away heat and reducing swelling. It is mainly used to treat atrophic rhinitis and dry and uncomfortable rhinitis. 3. If your nose smells bad, try washing your nose with salt water. This method does not require any medication and has no side effects. It is especially suitable for children and pregnant women and can be used for a long time. It has good therapeutic effects on chronic rhinitis, sinusitis, and allergic rhinitis. If the concentration, temperature, and operation method of the saline solution are mastered properly, it can relieve symptoms, eliminate inflammation, and persistent use can effectively prevent recurrence. Rhinitis cannot be cured and is prone to recurring. Preventing colds in daily life can effectively reduce the chance of rhinitis attacks.

4. Rhinitis and paranasal sinusitis cause atrophy of the nasal mucosa, nasal concha and bones due to nutritional disorders. Patients will feel dryness, itching, nasal congestion and loss of smell in the nasal cavity. Then large yellow-green scabs will accumulate in the nasal cavity, emitting a special fishy smell from time to time. In addition, a smelly nose may also be a local manifestation of a systemic disease. For example, weak constitution and poor resistance caused by various reasons.
