Which is better, Xanax or Paracetamol?

It is very common for babies to catch colds and fevers during their growth and development. The most commonly used medicines for baby colds are Xanax and Paracetamol. In fact, whether it is Xanax or Paracetamol, the main ingredient is acetaminophen. Therefore, the effects of the two drugs are basically the same. There is no such thing as whether Xanax is better or Paracetamol is better. Both Xanax and Paracetamol are used to treat children's colds, so the basic effects are the same.

Paracetamol and acetaminophen are both generic names of compound cold medicines. Since they do not contain pseudoephedrine, they can generally be used for children. For example, the trade name Youkadan is acetaminophen, and the trade name Hutong is acetaminophen. The main difference between the two is the slightly different ingredients they contain: Amantadine contains: acetaminophen, chlorpheniramine, amantadine, artificial bezoar, and caffeine. The ingredients of acetaminophen and chlorpheniramine are: acetaminophen, chlorpheniramine and artificial bezoar. Paracetamol contains less amantadine and caffeine than paracetamol.

Both can relieve symptoms caused by colds, such as fever, headache, sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion. The ingredients of pediatric acetaminophen include amantadine and caffeine compared to pediatric acetaminophen. In addition to its antipyretic, analgesic and anti-allergic effects, pediatric acetaminophen also has antiviral effects.

Amantadine is a common antiviral drug in cold medicines. In addition to influenza viruses, this drug is also effective against common cold viruses. However, this drug has certain adverse reactions. For the common cold, simple symptomatic treatment can achieve better results, and there is no need to take antiviral drugs. However, for some special patients, antiviral drugs need to be used in a standardized manner under the guidance of a physician. In addition, please note that it is not suitable for infants under 1 year old.

Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant that can enhance the antipyretic and analgesic effects of acetaminophen, and can reduce the central nervous system inhibitory effects such as drowsiness and dizziness caused by other drugs (such as chlorpheniramine). Acetaminophen can inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins and has antipyretic and analgesic effects. Chlorpheniramine maleate is an antiallergic drug that can relieve symptoms such as runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing. Artificial bezoar has antipyretic and sedative effects.
