What causes pain in the middle of the chest?

From a clinical perspective, pain in the middle of the chest may be caused by chest muscle strain, gastrointestinal disease, costochondritis, rib fracture, rib neuralgia, liver disease, etc. It may also be related to heart disease, lung disease, etc., and may even be related to the patient's psychological suggestions. In this case, you must pay more attention to rest, eat a light diet, avoid spicy food, and especially avoid excessive drinking.

1. Chest muscle strain: This is usually caused by excessive labor or lifting excessive weights. The chest pain caused by this situation is not a big problem. You just need to rest and be careful not to lift excessive weights.

2. Caused by psychological suggestion: Many patients, after learning that they have a certain disease, always feel uncomfortable here and there, and always feel that they have the symptoms of these diseases. This can be said to be psychological suggestion or a mental illness.

3. Caused by gastrointestinal diseases: If you experience chest, abdominal pain, or heart pain, you should first undergo a gastroscopy to check if you have stomach problems. Stomach pain caused by peptic ulcers, reflux gastritis, and gastric spasm can sometimes radiate to the chest and abdomen, causing chest pain symptoms.

4. Caused by costochondritis: Costochondritis is a common disease. The most common clinical condition is nonspecific costochondritis. The main symptoms are chest pain (above the breast), occasional shoulder blade and back pain, and sometimes pain in the above-mentioned parts when breathing. It is one of the more common chest wall pain diseases.

5. Caused by rib fracture: If you have a rib fracture, the first pain will be obvious. It will hurt whether you are quiet or exercising, but the pain is more obvious during exercise. Secondly, when a bone is broken, there will be a feeling of chest tightness and sometimes swelling.

6. Caused by other diseases: It is more common in costal neuralgia, heart disease, lung disease and liver disease. Speaking of liver disease, it involves hepatitis B. As we all know, hepatitis B patients often suffer from liver damage. Liver damage can cause lesions in the liver and surrounding organs, which will involve the liver capsule. There are nerves on the liver capsule, which may spread to the chest and cause chest pain, mostly concentrated on the right side of the human body.
