Scrotal angiokeratoma

Scrotal angiokeratoma

This disease mainly occurs in older people, but if it is not treated in time, it will become more serious. It usually occurs on the labia majora and is less common on the lower limbs. If you feel itchy, it's best to endure it. It is best not to scratch it with your hands to avoid causing new infection. Pay attention to the cleanliness of your private parts, wash them frequently, and change your underwear more often. When undergoing treatment, special attention should be paid to the integrity of the skin and be careful of skin damage.

Scrotal angiokeratoma is also known as Fordyce angiokeratoma. It mainly occurs in the scrotum area of middle-aged and elderly people, and occasionally in the labia, and often increases with age. In the late stage, it is dark red or purple, hard, and has mild wart-like hyperplasia. They are often arranged in lines along superficial veins or scrotal skin lines. The surface of the lesions is often smooth, sometimes slightly desquamated, and may fade when pressed. Sometimes the lesions occur on the penis or glans penis, and rarely on the calves, thighs, and conjunctiva. Generally there is no obvious discomfort, but occasionally there is mild itching. Bleeding easily after injury. It is often accompanied by epididymal tumors, hernia, varicocele, varicose veins of the oral mucosa and scrotal elastic fiber defects.

1. Scrotal angiokeratoma is essentially a dilated capillary vessel covered with a keratinized layer. This is related to personal factors and is not contagious. Even if it is not treated, it will not cause any harm to the human body, but it is easy to cause damage and local bleeding. Laser, microwave and freezing can all be used for treatment.

2. The current recommendation for treating hemangioma is to use minimally invasive treatment, which is to use catheter nanoneedles under high-frequency color ultrasound positioning to directly act on the tumor, allowing the tumor to slowly ossify, shrink and disappear. It is painless and non-traumatic, and will not recur after being cured. It is recommended to be cautious.

3. Scrotal angiokeratoma generally does not affect health and does not require treatment. However, for some people, scrotal angiokeratoma may gradually increase in size and may be accidentally ruptured, causing continuous bleeding. Therefore, if conditions permit, it is better to undergo laser treatment as soon as possible.
