What should not be eaten for convex meningioma of the brain

When it comes to the question of what not to eat for patients with convexity meningioma, many people may not know this, because most of us do not come into contact with patients with convexity meningioma in our daily lives, so we usually cannot give a correct answer to this question. Convexity meningioma is actually a type of meningioma. Its condition is also very serious, and many times people with convexity meningioma are very painful.

Strictly speaking, cerebral convexity meningioma should be a relatively common disease. When a disease comes, it is like a mountain falling. Everyone hates to be sick because when we are sick, it will most likely affect our lives and work. There are many things that patients with convexity meningioma of the brain should pay attention to in their daily life, and attention to diet is also very important. So let's talk about what patients with convexity meningioma of the brain should not eat?

Meningiomas on the convex surface of the brain are second only to parasagittal meningiomas in incidence and account for approximately 25% of intracranial meningiomas. It is more common in the front half of the brain than in the back half. Most patients have symptoms of increased intracranial pressure such as headache and vomiting, and most cases have optic disc edema, leading to decreased vision.

There are 3 types of convexity meningiomas. The first type is a meningioma that primarily invades the skull and grows outward, also invading the periosteum, with less pressure and adhesion on the surface of the cerebral hemispheres. The second type is a meningioma that grows mainly into the cranial cavity, with the tumor tightly adhered to the meninges and the blood supply mainly coming from the dura mater. The cerebral cortex is depressed, forming a deep tumor pit. The tumor is closely adhered to the tumor fossa. There is also arterial supply from the brain parenchyma. The corresponding skull bones have irritant growths (endophytic osteophytes). The third type is a meningioma that grows into the brain parenchyma, with a very small root on the dura mater and a larger tumor nodule inside the brain. The blood supply mainly comes from the brain. When operating on this type of meningioma, it is important not to damage the brain tissue too much.

Symptoms of convexity meningiomas depend primarily on the location of the tumor and can range from psychiatric symptoms to movement disorders, sensory disturbances, and visual field impairment. The incidence of epilepsy is high in this disease and it is often the first symptom. Symptoms of increased intracranial pressure such as headache and vomiting are seen in the vast majority of patients. In a considerable number of cases, the optic disc edema leads to decreased vision.

Patients with convexity meningioma of the brain should avoid spicy food, do not smoke or drink, do not eat expired or spoiled food, pay more attention to food hygiene, eat less greasy food, and do not overeat.

Therefore, in order to restore physical health as soon as possible, our patients with convexity meningioma of the brain should not eat spicy, expired, or greasy foods in their daily lives. In addition, try not to drink alcohol or overeat. Pay attention to your personal hygiene and strictly cooperate with the doctor's treatment. Only in this way can you cure your disease as soon as possible.
