I believe many people are familiar with plum pit qi, which is a common symptom name in traditional Chinese medicine and also a health problem that troubles many people. After the onset of plum pit qi, the patient will also experience a variety of symptoms, such as pharyngeal abnormalities, liver qi stagnation, etc. The main cause of this disease is emotional distress. There are two main treatments for this disease, namely psychotherapy and diet therapy! 1. What is plum pit qi? Plum pit qi is the name of a disease in traditional Chinese medicine. It refers to a disease caused by emotional frustration, stagnation of liver qi, and accumulation of phlegm and qi in the throat. The main symptoms are a plum pit-like obstruction in the throat that cannot be coughed out or swallowed, and the disease occurs intermittently. The clinical feature is abnormal sensation in the throat, but it does not affect eating. This disease can be seen in traditional Chinese medicine liver disease, traditional Chinese medicine throat disease, and traditional Chinese medicine mental illness. Modern medicine calls it pharyngeal paraesthesia, and it is often diagnosed as pharyngeal neurosis, or pharyngeal hysteria and globus hysterica. The disease is more common in young and middle-aged people, mostly women. 2. Causes of Disease The main cause of plum pit qi is emotional distress, liver qi stagnation, which goes up against the meridians and accumulates in the throat, or invades the spleen and stomach, causing dysfunction of transportation and transformation, inability to transport body fluids, and condensation into phlegm, which accumulates in the throat. 3. Disease treatment methods 1. Psychotherapy This therapy is very important for the treatment of this syndrome. It can relieve mental worries, keep the patient in a good mood, and enable the patient to change his or her emotions and personality, often achieving the effect of spontaneous recovery without treatment. If the patient's trust is gained, suggestive therapy can be implemented. 2. Diet therapy (1) Steamed Pork Liver with Albizzia Julibrissin Flowers: Put 10-12g of Albizzia Julibrissin flowers (dried) in a dish, add a little water, and soak for 4-6 hours. Then, slice 100-150g of pork liver and put them in the dish. Add a little salt to taste, steam until cooked, and eat the pork liver. (2) Rose tea: Place 6-10 grams of rose petals (low quality) in a teacup, add boiling water, cover for a while, and drink as tea. (3) Cooking pomelo peel with green onions: Take a fresh pomelo peel, burn the outer layer on charcoal fire until it turns yellow-brown, scrape off the surface layer, and then soak it in clean water for one day to remove the bitterness. Cut into pieces and boil with water. When cooked, add two chopped green onions. Season with oil and salt and serve as a side dish. |
