Caesarean section confinement package

Caesarean section confinement package

Giving birth is a stage that every woman must go through. Although natural birth is good for the baby, it takes a long time and the mother will suffer pain for a long time, so most people now prefer caesarean section. Caesarean section can cause great harm to women. If the follow-up care is not proper, it will take a long time for the woman's body to recover. Therefore, the confinement package is very important after a caesarean section. If the confinement package is properly matched, it can help women recover from the damage caused by the caesarean section. The following is an introduction to the caesarean section confinement package.

1. Week 1

After a caesarean section, you have to wait 24 hours after delivery and wait until your gastrointestinal function is normal before you can eat. In simple terms, you can only eat after you fart. Generally speaking, the first few days should be dominated by liquid food, and you can drink some porridge, noodle soup and so on. You can eat a normal diet only after your gastrointestinal function returns to normal. During the first week, the mother can eat some chicken soup, fish soup, pork liver soup, etc. to help clear lochia and promote wound healing. However, it should be noted that you should not eat egg soup or rice soup in the first week, and avoid eating milk, soy milk, large amounts of sucrose and other gas-causing foods.

2. Week 2

In the second week, after the mother's gastrointestinal function gradually returns to normal, she can start some normal diet, such as daily cooking, making soup, etc. However, it should be noted that the mother should not eat too oily or greasy food to avoid milk blockage. Pregnant women often drink chicken soup after giving birth, but be careful to choose roosters instead of hens, because old hens contain a lot of estrogen. Eating too much chicken soup after giving birth will greatly increase the estrogen level in the mother's body, weakening and disappearing the prolactin function, resulting in the inability of pregnant women to produce milk.

3. Week 3 and Week 4

The diet of the postpartum mother has completely returned to normal. Just drinking more fish soup, pork rib soup, and bone soup can help mothers produce milk.

The above is the editor’s dietary advice for mothers who have had a caesarean section. Caesarean section is different from natural birth, so you should pay more attention to your diet and remember the four things you shouldn’t do. You should not eat dairy, egg and other gas-causing foods within 24 hours, you should not eat too oily foods, and avoid eating dark foods, such as soy sauce. It is not advisable to eat irritating foods such as coffee, tea, chili pepper, and alcohol.
