Effects of fresh leaves of Polygonum multiflorum

I believe that everyone is not unfamiliar with Polygonum multiflorum, and they also know that the nutritional value of Polygonum multiflorum is quite high. However, I don’t know that the fresh leaves of Polygonum multiflorum also have certain effects on the human body. Male friends can take it when they have kidney deficiency or sexual dysfunction. In this way, they can improve their impotence and erectile dysfunction.

Main effects: nourishing blood and yin; moistening the intestines and relieving constipation; stopping malaria; dispelling wind; detoxifying. It is used to treat dizziness and vertigo due to blood deficiency, palpitations, insomnia, soreness of waist and knees due to liver-kidney yin deficiency, premature graying of hair, tinnitus, spermatorrhea, dry intestine and constipation, physical weakness due to long-term malaria, itchy rashes, sores, scrofula, and hemorrhoids.

1. Compendium of Materia Medica: This substance is warm in nature and bitter in taste. Bitterness nourishes the kidney, warmth nourishes the liver, and can astringe the essence and qi. Therefore, it can nourish the blood and benefit the liver, consolidate the essence and benefit the kidney, strengthen the tendons and bones, and darken the hair. It is a good tonic, neither cold nor dry, and its efficacy is better than that of Rehmannia glutinosa and Asparagus cochinchinensis. When Qi and blood are in harmony, diseases such as wind deficiency, carbuncle, and scrofula can be cured.

2. "Bencao Huiyan": Because of its astringent nature, it can be used for those with slippery semen, to stop dysentery and diarrhea, and to stop those with long-term malaria and weak qi. This is also an imaginary word. If the Yuan Yang is not solid and the semen is wasted, the Zhong Qi is weak and diarrhea occurs, or the spleen is exhausted and malaria occurs continuously, these three symptoms should be treated with sweet and warm nurturing medicines.

3. "Ben Jing Feng Yuan" says: When raw, it has a dispersing nature and is used to treat cold and heat, malaria, carbuncle, and back ulcer.

4. "Bencao Qiuzhen": Shouwu enters the liver and is a yang medicine in the yin, so it specifically enters the liver meridian to benefit the blood and dispel wind. Those who can also nourish the kidney also benefit from it because they nourish the liver.

5. "Reading the Materia Medica": I often use it for long-term malaria and dysentery.

6. Chongqing Hall Essays: It can regulate Qi and blood internally, disperse sores and carbuncles externally, and its effect is similar to that of Angelica sinensis. It is also a blood-QI medicine.

7. "Bencao Zhengyi" says: It specifically enters the liver and kidneys, nourishes the true yin, and has a very strong taste with a slight bitterness, but a mild nature. It is in line with the principle of sealing and storing in the lower burner, so it can replenish essence and qi and has the effect of balancing yin and yang, which is not comparable to Rehmannia root which is biased towards yin coagulation.

8. "He Shou Wu Lu": It treats five types of hemorrhoids, cold air in the waist and abdomen, strengthens the tendons and improves the essence, improves appetite, increases energy and strength, lengthens the skin, and prolongs life.

9. "Bencao Gangmu" (Bencao Gangmu): Treats all kinds of cold and intestinal wind.

10. Kaibao Materia Medica: It can treat wind sores on the head and face, five types of hemorrhoids, stop heart pain, benefit blood and qi, improve hair color, and also treat postpartum and leucorrhea diseases in women.

11. Wang Haogu: Relieve liver wind.

12. "Compendium of Materia Medica in Southern Yunnan": Treats red and vitiligo, scabies, stubborn ringworms, and skin itching. Stop malaria and treat phlegm malaria.

13. “Pharmaceutical Chemistry”: It benefits the liver, restrains blood, and nourishes yin. It is used to treat weak waist and knees, sore muscles and bones, stop malaria, stop kidney diarrhea, eliminate metrorrhagia, and relieve leucorrhea.

Dosage and Administration: For internal use: decoct in batches, 10-20g; make into paste, soak in wine, or make into pills or powders. For external use: take appropriate amount, decoct in water for washing, grind into powder and sprinkle or mix for application.

Contraindications: Not suitable for patients with clear stools and wet phlegm. Avoid pork, blood, and scaleless fish. Avoid iron and hate radish. Avoid onions and garlic.
