The best folk remedies for hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are a common disease that affects both men and women. People who sit frequently for long periods of time or because of humidity may develop hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are divided into internal hemorrhoids, external hemorrhoids and mixed hemorrhoids. With the development of medicine today, there are many ways to treat hemorrhoids. However, some people still prefer to use traditional methods to treat hemorrhoids. So what are the best folk remedies for hemorrhoids?

1. Silkworm, lotus root and brown sugar soup

7 silkworm pupae, 500 grams of lotus root, and appropriate amount of brown sugar. Wash and slice the lotus root, put it in a pot with silkworm pupa and brown sugar, add water and boil until the lotus root is cooked. Eat lotus root and drink the soup, all at once, for 7 consecutive days. Indications: Damp-heat type hemorrhoids.

2. Fumigation and washing of leeks

1 handful of fresh leeks, wash the leeks, put them in the pot, add appropriate amount of water, cover the pot with a lid with a hole in the middle and cook. Fumigating the affected area with the steam coming out of the hole in the pot lid for 15 minutes, and then scrubbing the affected area with the steam, can treat hemorrhoids.

3. Pumpkin fumigation

Use an appropriate amount of pumpkin, wash and cut the pumpkin into pieces, put it into a pot, add water and boil it.

Usage: Wash the affected area while it is still hot, twice per mouthful. Main indications: internal hemorrhoids.

4. Figs

2 figs and 1 bunch of fig leaves. Wash the figs, fry them over fire (or eat them raw on an empty stomach), twice a day. At the same time, boil fig leaves with water every night, first wash, then sit bath, once a day.

5. Horse lettuce tips

49 romaine lettuce tips, each about 2 cm long, washed and chopped, then cooked in a pot. Beat 7 eggs (use small eggs, we won’t be able to eat the bigger ones), pour into the pot with cooked lettuce, boil for 3 minutes, without adding any seasoning. Take it all at once on an empty stomach in the morning. One dose for mild cases and two doses for severe cases. It is effective for internal hemorrhoids, external hemorrhoids, and mixed hemorrhoids.

6. Poplar strips

Use poplar branches grown that year, cut into 7-10 cm long strips, a total of 20 strips, put them in a pot, add 2500-4000 ml of water and boil (use well water, not tap water) until the water turns red. After cooking, immediately pour it into a basin or a new spittoon, take off your pants and sit on the basin, and use steam to fumigate. It will be itchy at first, and slightly painful after a long time. You can move around. When the water temperature drops to a point where it is no longer hot, wash the affected area gently with water the next day. It is very effective in treating hemorrhoids.

7. Liquor

Pour a little white wine into a porcelain bowl (the bottom of the bowl should be rough), take a piece of Coptis chinensis and grind it at the bottom of the bowl for a while, then dip medical cotton in the wine and apply it to the affected area. Apply it once every night before going to bed, and you will be cured after a few days. There has been no recurrence for more than half a year.

8. Coriander

Boil coriander soup and use it to fumigate and wash the anus. Then boil coriander seeds with vinegar, soak a cloth in it and cover the affected area while it is still warm. You will see results after a week.

It is best to treat it before going to bed at night. Wash the potatoes, cut them into 3-5 thin slices, stack them together and apply them on the hemorrhoids, cover them with a layer of gauze and fix them with adhesive tape. Remove them early the next day. The potato slices will be dry and brown. Treat them for two or three days in a row to cure the hemorrhoids.

10. Sichuan pepper

Take a dozen peppercorns and a teaspoon of salt, rinse with boiling water, sit on a basin, and fumigate the affected area once a day for about 10 minutes each time. For severe cases, do it once in the morning and once in the evening. It has the effect of reducing swelling and relieving pain.

11. Fresh walnut leaves

Put 100 grams of fresh walnut leaves in a clay jar, add 100 milliliters of clean water, seal the jar mouth with paper, boil for 20 minutes, put the medicine jar in a bucket, and tear off the sealing paper on the mouth of the medicine jar. Sit on the bucket immediately, use the steam to fumigate the affected area for 30 minutes, then pour the medicine with the residue into the basin, wait for the water temperature to cool to about 50℃, take a sitz bath for 30 minutes, and scrub the affected area with the residue, do this 3 times a day for 5 consecutive days.
