Is fetal arrest related to sperm quality?

Most women long to be mothers, and feel that life will be more perfect after having a baby. But for some pregnant women, the reality is too cruel. Fetal arrest during pregnancy is really a very painful thing for expectant mothers. There are many reasons for fetal arrest. Some people think that fetal arrest is related to the quality of sperm. Is fetal arrest related to sperm quality? Let’s take a look at it next.

1. Is fetal arrest related to sperm quality?

Fetal growth retardation and sperm quality

2. Causes of fetal arrest

1. Genetic abnormalities, including abnormalities in chromosome number and structure.

2. Physical and chemical harmful substances can directly or indirectly damage the perinatal fetus and cause miscarriage.

3. Pregnant women’s own diseases, such as acute or chronic systemic diseases.

4. Others, such as immune rejection reactions, etc. Generally speaking, spontaneous abortion occurs during the first pregnancy. If the cause cannot be found, it will be impossible to preserve the pregnancy blindly in the future, and multiple miscarriages are very harmful to the body. Therefore, you need to go to the hospital for a comprehensive examination to identify the cause of the spontaneous abortion and provide targeted treatment.

3. What to do if the tire stops

The fertilized egg has to go through a series of complex and wonderful processes before it can eventually grow into a healthy baby. In the initial stage, if the fertilized egg does not germinate well, it will most likely stop growing. We call this abnormal embryonic development that occurs in early pregnancy "fetal arrest." The fetus before eight weeks of gestation is medically called an embryo. Embryonic arrest refers to the cessation of development of the embryo in early pregnancy for some reason, which is a form of spontaneous abortion. Ultrasound examination shows an irregular fetal bud or fetal shape in the gestational sac, no fetal heartbeat, or an empty sac.

At present, urban white-collar women are a high-risk group for fetal growth retardation. Among these high-income people, due to high stress, lack of exercise, and frequent consumption of junk food and hormone drugs, endocrine dysfunction occurs, and the normal hormone system in the body is severely damaged, causing the body to always be in a sub-healthy state; some women, in order to relieve stress, take an indulgent attitude towards their private lives and have to resort to abortion many times to relieve "trouble", causing damage to the intrauterine environment, and the endometrium is thinner and cannot develop normally. In addition, the white-collar group generally has a high marriage age, the quality of sperm and eggs is no longer optimal, and the ability to resist pollution and radiation damage is greatly reduced. These conditions have laid hidden dangers for fetal growth retardation. Therefore, before becoming pregnant, pregnant mothers should make adequate preparations, adjust their bodies and living habits. Once the body and mind are adjusted, the fetus will naturally grow healthily.

The symptoms of embryonic development cessation are often not obvious. Some pregnant mothers have no symptoms at all and only discover abnormalities in the embryo under B-ultrasound. Some pregnant mothers may experience disappearance of early pregnancy reactions and signs of miscarriage such as vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain. Many first-time mothers have no experience in this area and tend to overlook it. Some pregnant mothers find no obvious changes in their abdomen and the signs of early pregnancy disappear after 6 months of pregnancy, so they rush to the hospital for examination. This delay also brings great risks to treatment.

B-ultrasound examination is the main method for diagnosing embryonic arrest. It can determine whether the embryo is alive, which is helpful for clinical detection of embryonic arrest in time so that treatment measures can be taken. A blood test for HCG levels in pregnant women can also be used to assess fetal development. If the pregnancy-related hormone is found to be low or not gradually increasing during a blood test, This could be a sign that the embryo has stopped developing.
