5 months pregnant fetal movement

5 months pregnant fetal movement

If the fetal movement is strong during the fifth month of pregnancy, you should count the pattern of the fetal movements. As long as it does not exceed one hundred times within 12 hours, there is no need to worry. If it has exceeded one hundred times within 12 hours and the fetal movement makes you feel uncomfortable, you need to check the baby's development problems. Pregnant women should also go to the hospital for regular prenatal checkups.

What is a normal number of fetal movements? The number of fetal movements monitored by each expectant mother is different. So what is a normal number of fetal movements?

Normal fetal movement indicates that the placenta is functioning well, that the oxygen supplied to the fetus is sufficient, that the fetus is developing healthily, and that the little life is living happily in the uterus. If the fetal movement is less than 20 times within 12 hours, or less than 3 times within 1 hour, it often means that the fetus may be suffering from hypoxia, and pregnant mothers should not take it lightly.

The fetal movement is generally 3-5 times per hour, and about 30-40 times in 12 hours. Under normal circumstances, the strength and frequency of fetal movements vary throughout the day and night. The number of movements is less in the morning, increases after 6 pm, and is most active between 8 and 11 pm. This means that the fetus has its own sleep pattern, which is called the fetal biological clock.

The strength and frequency of fetal movements vary greatly from person to person. Some have it more than 100 times in 12 hours, while others only 30-40 times. But as long as the fetal movement is regular and rhythmic, and the changing curve is not large, it means that the fetal development is normal.

Abnormal fetal movement: Expectant mothers are always worried about whether there is something abnormal in the fetus. In fact, these conditions can be detected through fetal movement. The following abnormal fetal movement conditions need attention.

1. A sudden decrease in fetal movement: This may be because the pregnant mother has a fever, which increases the blood flow around the body, reduces the blood flow to the placenta and uterus, and causes slight hypoxia in the baby.

2. After rapid fetal movement, it suddenly stops: When the fetus turns over and rolls, the umbilical cord is entangled, blood cannot circulate, and suffocation due to lack of oxygen may occur such fetal movement reaction.

3. Fetal movement occurs late and is relatively weak: This may be caused by poor placental function. Poor placental function caused by various reasons causes the placenta to supply insufficient oxygen to the fetus. The baby's fetal movement slows down due to long-term lack of oxygen.

4. Fetal movement suddenly intensifies and then slowly decreases: This may be caused by lack of oxygen in the baby or external stimulation, sometimes accompanied by severe abdominal pain and heavy vaginal bleeding.

If the above abnormal fetal movements occur, expectant mothers should not be too anxious and seek medical attention in time when necessary.
