Blue discharge on underwear

Blue discharge on underwear

If there is blue discharge in the underwear, it is usually caused by bacterial vaginitis, which is quite harmful to women's health. It should be treated with some anti-anaerobic drugs, such as clindamycin or metronidazole. In addition, you should go to the hospital for vaginal discharge examination in time to determine the condition. Married women should avoid having sex at this time and pay attention to the cleanliness of their private parts in daily life.

Causes of female vaginitis

There are many causes of vaginitis, and girls who have never had sexual intercourse can also get vaginitis. Some women are very clean and often use vaginal cleansing liquid or soapy water to rinse the vagina, thinking that this can keep the vagina clean and hygienic. In fact, this behavior opens the door for bacteria. Because soap is alkaline, excessive use will destroy the acidic environment of the vagina. Many vaginal cleansers on the market now have bactericidal effects, but they can only be used to clean the vulva. If the cleansing liquid is used to rinse the inside of the vagina, it can kill beneficial vaginal lactobacilli, destroying the balance of various bacteria. The remaining pathogenic bacteria will take advantage of the opportunity to enter and cause disease.

In addition, women who like to wear pencil pants, skinny pants, tight jeans and synthetic underwear are also prone to vaginitis. These are bad habits. The sebaceous glands in the female vulva secrete vigorously, and the underwear and trousers have many layers. If you wear synthetic underwear or tight pants, the vulva is not easy to breathe, making the vulva often in a damp state. The vaginal opening, urethral opening and anus are very close, so it is inevitable that urine and feces and vaginal secretions will remain. In addition, the local skin has many wrinkles, which makes it easy for dirt to accumulate. Under such environmental conditions, it is very conducive for bacteria to breed and multiply, and it is very easy to be brought into the vagina or urethra through sexual intercourse and other means, causing infectious inflammation and endangering health.

What tests should be done for vaginitis

Smear microscopy: Clue cells can be found by taking a smear of the secretions. Clue cells are epithelial cells with a large number of Gardnerella attached to their surface. The characteristic is that the surface of the epithelial cells is rough or has fine particles, as if sprinkled with a layer of flour. The bacteria are Gram-negative coccal rods. Check which pathogen is causing the infection and provide doctors with accurate diagnosis basis. Amine test: Add a drop of 10% potassium hydroxide solution to the vaginal secretions. You can smell the release of "fishy" ammonia. This is because the secretions contain a high amount of amines, which can release an ammonia smell when they come into contact with alkali. Culture method: What tests should be done for bacterial vaginosis? Isolation should be done first and then culture. Round, opaque, smooth-surfaced colonies with a diameter of 0.5 mm can be seen. Biochemical method: Vaginal secretions are taken for biochemical analysis. Normal women have high lactate levels and low succinate levels, while women with this disease have the opposite values. Fluorescent antibody method: smear with fluorescent antibody staining and microscopic examination. Gynecological examination: Through routine gynecological examination, possible sexual diseases are initially screened, and secretion samples are taken for necessary examinations.
