Breast surgery is a very common surgery and is also a commonly used treatment method for various breast diseases, especially breast cancer. In addition, there are many types of breast augmentation projects in cosmetic medicine that also require surgery. Before the operation, disinfection must be carried out. So, what is the scope of disinfection for patients undergoing chest surgery? 1. Scope of skin disinfection during chest surgery (Side-lying position) Pass through the midline front and back, up to the clavicle and 1/3 of the upper arm, and down over the rib margin. 2. Indications for thoracic surgery Resection of marginal pulmonary lesions or simple segmental or lobectomy; resection of pleural diseases and benign tumors in the posterior mediastinum; ductus arteriosus ligation. 3. Chest Surgery Steps 1. The incision starts from the upper end of the anterior axillary line, slants posteriorly and inferiorly to the posterior axillary line, reaches the level of the 8th rib, and is about 15 cm long. 2. Incise the skin and subcutaneous tissue. Cut part of the serratus anterior muscle between the pectoralis major and the latissimus dorsi to the outside of the thorax, and pull the muscles apart to both sides. 3. The ribs are removed and the chest is advanced through the costal bed (usually the 5th or 6th rib is removed) or through the corresponding intercostal space (Figure 2). 4. After the operation, the intercostal space was sutured. After suturing the serratus anterior muscle, the pectoralis major and latissimus dorsi fascia are interruptedly sutured. 5. Suture the subcutaneous tissue and skin. 4. Dietary considerations for chest surgery 1. Eating at regular times and in fixed quantities, and eating small and frequent meals are more suitable for patients with digestive tract cancer. 2. Eat more foods containing vitamins A, C, and E, and eat more green vegetables and fruits. 3. Eat foods that can inhibit carcinogenicity, such as kohlrabi, cabbage, carrots, rapeseed, garlic, vegetable oil, fish, etc. 4. Do not eat salted, smoked, grilled or fried food, especially burnt or charred food. 5. Stick to a low-fat diet and eat lean meat, eggs and yogurt regularly. 6. Food should be kept fresh and moldy or spoiled food should not be eaten. 7. Make up your mind to quit harmful smoking and drinking habits. 8. To maintain smooth bowel movements, patients with constipation should eat foods rich in fiber and drink some honey every day. 9. Eat more whole grains, such as coarse rice, corn, and whole wheat, and eat less refined rice and refined flour. 10. Eat nutritious dried fruits and seeds regularly, such as sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, watermelon seeds, peanuts, walnuts, dried apricots, almonds, raisins, etc. |
