Therefore, farting is a sign of normal intestinal function. On the contrary, if you don’t fart, or if you fart too much or too smelly, it is an abnormal phenomenon.

There are roughly two reasons for frequent farting. One is that you often eat some gas-producing foods, such as sweet potatoes, onions, cabbage, beans and other soy products, which will cause farting. People who eat a lot of pasta also fart a lot. These foods cause excessive gas production in the intestinal cavity, leading to more farting and increased stool volume. At this time, you should reduce starchy foods and increase protein and vegetable foods to achieve a balanced diet.

In addition, you may suffer from "irritable bowel syndrome", which clinically also causes abdominal pain, bloating, and flatulence. In terms of diet, it is recommended that you eat small meals frequently and avoid overeating. When eating, you should chew slowly to avoid swallowing too much air. Foods that easily produce gas should also be avoided. Drinking a glass of yogurt every day can help change the bacteria in your gastrointestinal tract.
