Acupuncture points for atrophic gastritis

Atrophic gastritis. Due to glandular atrophy or disappearance, the gastric mucosa becomes thinner to varying degrees, and is often accompanied by intestinal metaplasia, inflammatory reaction and atypical hyperplasia.

The cause and pathogenesis of chronic atrophic gastritis are not very clear at present. It is generally believed that it is affected by immune factors, bile reflux, biological factors, drug factors, acute gastritis, oral and nasopharyngeal infections, etc., coupled with emotional disorders, improper diet, excessive fatigue, insomnia, cold, etc.

1. Stagnation of cold pathogen:

[Diagnostic points] Sudden stomach pain, severe pain, relieved by warmth, aggravated by cold, mouth is normal and not thirsty, likes hot drinks; thin white tongue coating, tight and stringy pulse.

2. Diet Stagnation:

[Diagnostic points] Stomach pain, abdominal distension, belching, acid regurgitation, nausea and vomiting, vomiting of undigested food, pain relieved after vomiting or flatulence, heavy breath, uncomfortable bowel movements; thick and greasy tongue coating, slippery or wiry and slippery pulse.

3. Liver Qi attacks the stomach:

[Diagnostic points] Distension in the epigastric region, pain in the epigastric region extending to the flanks or pain in no fixed location, frequent belching, which is often caused or aggravated by anger or depression; the tongue coating is thin white, and the pulse is deep, stringy or deep, fine.

4. Damp-heat resistance:

[Diagnostic points] Burning and distending pain in the stomach, which becomes worse after eating, and may be vomited immediately after eating. There is also acid reflux and noisy feeling, dry mouth with coating, and heavy and turbid breath. The tongue is red, especially at the edges and tip, with yellow and greasy coating, and the pulse is slippery and rapid.
