What to do if your skin is burned

What to do if your skin is burned

We often encounter various problems in our lives, and various emergencies may also occur. For example, your tire suddenly becomes flat while you are driving, you realize you forgot to bring your keys after going out, you are walking and suddenly an object falls from above and almost hits your head, etc. These are all emergencies. The skin burns we are going to introduce below are also a type of emergency.

The so-called skin burns refer to situations in which the skin is damaged or deformed, or even lesions occur, due to high temperature, fire, steam or other reasons. Skin burns are something we don’t want to see or happen, because in addition to pain, it will also leave scars. So what should we do after skin burns?

The best thing we can do after skin burns is to send it to the hospital for treatment, but if conditions do not allow, you can take appropriate rescue measures yourself:

1. Egg oil can treat burns

Take 2 cooked egg yolks, mash them with chopsticks, put them into an iron pot, and simmer over low heat. When the egg yolks become mushy, use a small spoon to squeeze out the oil (don't use too strong a fire when simmering the oil, and squeeze out the oil in time, otherwise the egg yolks will burn), and put them in a small bottle for later use. Apply it twice a day and you will be cured in 3 days.

2. Fresh sunflower soaked in oil can treat burns

Use a clean glass canning jar to hold half a bottle of lettuce seed oil. Wash and dry the fresh sunflowers (the yellow flowers around the sunflower disk), put them into the jar and soak them in the oil. Press them down like pickled vegetables until full. If the oil is not enough, add some more. Tighten the bottle cap and place it in a cool place. It can be used after 2 months of storage. The longer the storage time, the better. When using, it is generally necessary to add a little rapeseed oil, and the amount of oil should be enough to make it into a paste. Apply the paste to the wound, 2-3 times a day. It will take 3-5 days for mild cases and a week for severe cases to see results without leaving any scars.

3. Soak earthworms in sugar to treat burns

Dig up a live earthworm, wash it and put it into a bottle, add sugar (the sugar should cover the earthworm), stir well with alum, and let it cool into a paste. Make oil gauze strips for later use. Usage: Wash your feet and apply oil gauze externally. In summer, change the medicine strips once a day; in autumn, change the medicine every 3-4 days.

4. Jujube bark treats burns

Use an appropriate amount of jujube tree bark (new or old bark is fine), wash it with boiling water, dry it (do not burn it), grind it into powder, add sesame oil and dilute it, then apply to the affected area. After rubbing it several times, it scabs over and leaves no scars.

5. Mung beans are effective in treating burns

Grind 100 grams of raw mung beans into powder, mix it with 75% alcohol (white wine is also fine) to make a paste. After 30 minutes, add 15 grams of borneol, mix well and apply to the burn area. Using this method can reduce pain, form scabs quickly, and leave no scars.

Of course, the method taught above is only a treatment method for minor skin burns. If friends are accidentally severely burned, they must be sent to the hospital for treatment immediately. While receiving treatment, we should not worry or be anxious too much. We should trust the doctor and follow his instructions. While taking medicine, we should also pay attention to getting more rest, having three meals a day normally, ensuring the nutrition of the meals, and eating more fresh fruits and vegetables, which will help the wound heal.
