Extracorporeal lithotripsy

Extracorporeal lithotripsy

Nowadays, stones are a relatively common disease, especially gallstones and kidney stones. When encountering such stones, the method often adopted in hospitals is to use laser to remove the stones. This method is simple and painless, so it is more popular. However, this is a surgery after all. After the lithotripsy, you still need to pay attention to postoperative anti-inflammatory treatment to prevent some disease reactions. The details are as follows.

1. The stone-removing granules can be taken intermittently for about a month. In response to this consultation, the doctor updated the summary and suggestions: The best way to prevent stones is to drink more water and exercise more. You must drink more water, and have regular B-ultrasound checks. If the stones grow bigger and the water accumulates, they need to be treated again. Eat less soy products, milk, spinach, etc., and all soy products are not allowed.

2. In this case, you can take ordinary anti-inflammatory drugs such as amoxicillin, ofloxacin, etc. After the operation, you should pay attention to rest, avoid strenuous exercise, and try to reduce drinking and eating some irritating foods for a short period of time.

3. If the number of stones is large and they are large, you should rest in bed for 2-3 days after crushing. If the pain is severe, you can take oral painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs. It is recommended to use levofloxacin injection, metronidazole injection, and intravenous drip. Pay attention to drinking plenty of water, and avoid drinking alcohol and eating spicy food.

4. No sex within one month after lithotripsy. You can take some cephalosporin antibiotics or levofloxacin for inflammatory treatment under the guidance of a doctor, and drink more water appropriately. Pay attention to rest and avoid fatigue. No drinking and smoking.

5. After suffering from ureteral stones, it can be cured through treatment, but you must take good care of yourself during or after treatment. Some patients need anti-inflammatory injections after surgery because of the various discomforts that may be caused during the surgery and to prevent symptoms such as infection. Patients who have undergone extracorporeal ureteral lithotripsy must pay attention to taking medication on time as directed by the doctor, drink more water, run and jump more, and land on their heels. In addition, extracorporeal lithotripsy can only treat but not prevent diseases. Everyone must pay attention to their diet and have regular check-ups.

6. It is recommended to have a renal function test and abdominal color ultrasound, because the small stones scattered after extracorporeal lithotripsy may block the urethra and cause difficulty in urination. The strong shock wave may damage the kidneys and cause renal insufficiency, resulting in oliguria. Generally, anti-inflammatory drugs are not needed after extracorporeal lithotripsy. If a urinary tract infection does occur, it can be used. Check the urine routine first to confirm.

7. Generally, after lithotripsy, you can take anti-inflammatory drugs to prevent infection. You can drink more water and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. If you are allergic to one anti-inflammatory drug, you can switch to another. Generally, commonly used anti-inflammatory drugs are fine.
