What does vaginal B-ultrasound check?

We all know what B-ultrasound examination is for during pregnancy, but vaginal B-ultrasound is relatively unfamiliar. Many of our gynecological diseases start with vaginal infection, and vaginal B-ultrasound examination is used to check women's gynecological diseases. It can also detect and observe the blood flow and development of the pelvis, uterus, ovaries and other parts. It can identify the location of the lesion based on the observed phenomena and can even diagnose early pregnancy. The only thing that matters during the examination is that the examination must be done on an empty stomach.

Vaginal B-ultrasound is also a form of B-ultrasound examination. Since vaginal B-ultrasound has unparalleled advantages over abdominal B-ultrasound in the diagnosis of gynecological diseases, vaginal B-ultrasound is recommended for more gynecological diseases. Vaginal B-ultrasound examination can be performed at any time, and it is generally most appropriate on the 10th day from the start of menstruation.

Vaginal B-ultrasound uses a high-frequency probe with powerful functions. It can clearly observe pelvic organs and small lesions, and detect the blood flow of the uterus and ovaries. It can monitor the development of ovarian follicles, and can also diagnose early pregnancy, early ectopic pregnancy, early endometrial lesions, uterine and ovarian tumors, pelvic abscesses, inflammatory masses and other lesions, and the examination results are more accurate.

Scope of application:

1. Patients with benign uterine tumors and malignant uterine tumors;

2. Sonographic manifestations of the endometrium during a normal menstrual cycle and the mature and immature follicles in normal ovaries (the so-called "ovulation detection").

3. Both patients with non-neoplastic ovarian cysts and ovarian tumors can use vaginal B-ultrasound.

4. It is not suitable for unmarried women, women with vaginal bleeding, women experiencing bleeding in mid- to late-term pregnancy or during pregnancy, or women with large pelvic masses.

advantage:

1. No need to fill the bladder; patients can avoid the trouble of drinking a lot of water and holding back urine;

2. The image is clearer than that of abdominal wall B-ultrasound and has a higher display rate;

3. It is more suitable for patients with thickened abdominal wall, deep ovarian position, or difficulty in transabdominal examination.

Note:

1. Do not eat or drink. The dinner on the day before the examination should be light and less residue-filled. Do not eat overnight after eating. On the morning of the examination, breakfast and water should be avoided to ensure that the examination is done on an empty stomach in the morning.

2. If you have a disease that is not suitable for transvaginal ultrasound, you should remind your doctor in time to avoid transvaginal ultrasound.

3. You need to take off your lower body clothes during the examination, so wear clothes and shoes that are easy to take off and change.
