Is hernia hereditary?

Is hernia hereditary?

Hernia is a common symptom in life. It refers to the genital deformity of male children, which is manifested as scrotal swelling caused by the invasion of the rectum into the scrotum. Although it will not cause much harm to health, it will affect the image of the genitals and have an adverse effect on men's lives. Moreover, hernia is related to genetic factors in most cases. Let’s take a look at whether the probability of hernia being inherited is high?

Many families do not have the chromosomes for hernia, but they will still get hernia; in other families with a history of hernia, their children are more likely to get hernia than ordinary children. It can be seen that hernia is still slightly related to genetics, but it does not mean that children with a family history of hernia will definitely get hernia, but the probability will be slightly higher than other children.

1. If you find that your child has a hernia, parents do not need to worry too much, because hernia is completely curable. Generally, hernias in children occur when they are just born, and the incidence rate is relatively high. Some hernias will disappear with age, but some require surgical treatment.

2. If a child often cries and runs too hard, a scrotal lump may appear, but it disappears after he is quiet. Parents may not notice it, which often delays the treatment. The child should receive treatment as soon as possible, as early hernias are easier to heal.

3. There are many surgical treatments for hernia now. Generally, traditional surgery is combined with some minimally invasive methods in the later stages. Minimally invasive methods do not require surgery or stitches, but the cost is higher than traditional methods. Patients and parents can choose the surgical method according to their own financial situation.

Note:

If a child suffers from symptoms of bronchitis such as fever or cough, surgery should be delayed as much as possible and only performed after full recovery to avoid other complications.
