What are the symptoms of breast tumors?

Breast tumor is a very common gynecological disease, and women suffering from breast tumor are generally middle-aged. Since the breast is a symbol of femininity and an indispensable part of women's normal physiological activities, if a woman suffers from a breast tumor, all aspects of her functions will be greatly affected, and the treatment of breast tumors is urgent. So, what are the symptoms of breast tumors?

1. Symptoms of breast cancer

1. Painless lump: It is often the first symptom, and its characteristic is that the lump grows in an invasive manner. Even if the lump is very small, it may cause skin adhesion if it involves the suspensory ligament of the breast. Larger lumps may have symptoms such as skin edema, orange peel-like changes, nipple retraction or depression, and lymphadenopathy. In the later stage, skin satellite nodules and even ulcers may appear. In the early stage, this disease should be differentiated from benign breast lesions such as inflammatory masses, breast hyperplasia and benign tumors.

2. Nipple discharge: It is rare for breast cancer to have nipple discharge as the only symptom. Most cases are accompanied by breast masses. Generally, the discharge is more bloody and bloody is common.

3. Nipple changes: When the breast fibrous tissue and duct system are infiltrated by the lesion, the nipple is shortened and pulled, causing the nipple to tilt toward the tumor side. Further progression of the lesion can cause the nipple to flatten, retract, or become sunken, or even completely sink under the areola, making the nipple invisible. Sometimes the entire breast is lifted due to contracture of the fibrous tissue in the breast. Clinically, the nipples on both sides are at different levels, and nipple erosion is a typical symptom of eczematous cancer.

2. Clinical manifestations of benign breast tumors

1. Benign breast tumor

Breast fibroma: Breast fibroma is mostly located in the upper outer quadrant of the breast. They are usually oval in shape, with the smaller ones being as big as cherries or walnuts, but there can also be larger ones. Generally, the surface of the tumor is smooth and hard. The tumor has clear boundaries and no adhesion to the skin and surrounding tissues. It can be pushed around the breast without obstruction. Although it can be moved by pushing it, it will return to its original position when you let go. There is usually no spontaneous pain or tenderness.

2. Intraductal or intracystic papilloma: The tumor is often located in the dilated milk ducts of the nipple, or in the cysts near the nipple that are connected to the milk ducts. Papillomas are generally very small, with pedicles and many villi. They are rich in thin-walled blood vessels and are therefore very prone to bleeding. Patients are generally painless. The main symptoms are nipple discharge and bleeding. Sometimes a small oblong swelling can be felt in the nipple area.

, soft and non-adhesive to the skin, and can be pushed. When the mammary gland is squeezed, bloody discharge may be discharged from the nipple. Intraductal or intracystic papilloma may have a 6-8% canceration rate.
