Men's breast pain

Men's breast pain

Breast diseases are not exclusive to women. Men may also develop breast diseases. Although the incidence rate among men is not as high as that among women, a small number of boys will experience breast pain, swelling of the breasts and other symptoms. There are many causes of breast diseases, such as mastitis, breast hyperplasia, etc. The harm to men is also relatively large. At this time, it is necessary to conduct regular examinations and treatments in a timely manner.

What are the symptoms of mastitis in men?

In fact, the symptoms of mastitis in men are almost the same as those in women. First, men will experience skin cracks in the nipple area, pain when pressing the nipple, redness, swelling, lumps and other discomfort symptoms around the breast. And as the inflammation progresses, the patient's breast skin will become hot, which can cause fever, chills, etc. Generally speaking, the symptoms of mastitis in men are often ignored by patients. They simply do not associate their discomfort symptoms with mastitis, and therefore often ignore the warning signs of mastitis.

Generally speaking, most cases of mastitis in men are acute, and acute mastitis develops quickly with obvious symptoms. If relevant treatment measures are not taken in time, there will be more obvious redness and swelling around the men's breasts. Although there will be obvious lumps when pressing with hands, they are softer than the previous lumps. This is not a sign of relief of the disease. This means that men's mastitis has developed breast abscesses, and this symptom is relatively serious among the symptoms of men's mastitis.

The dangers of mastitis in men

If treatment is not timely and appropriate, the lesion will inevitably continue to develop. The affected breast becomes more red and swollen, the lump becomes larger, softer and fluctuates, and a subcutaneous or superficial breast abscess forms. Finally, the abscess breaks outward or expands into the breast, or the lump deep inside becomes larger and softer, the skin that was not red or swollen becomes red and swollen, the range of the lesion becomes larger and larger, and the breast tissue is damaged more and more.

Abscesses can not only penetrate the skin outward, but also penetrate the mammary ducts internally, causing the milk to contain pus, or even penetrate backward into the chest wall muscles to form a retromammary abscess. At this time, systemic symptoms became increasingly severe.
