What are the symptoms of taking Chinese medicine to expel cold?

Many people like to take Chinese medicine to slowly regulate their bodies, because Western medicine has very little side effects on the human body compared to Chinese medicine. Moreover, Chinese medicine can play the same role in treating human diseases as Western medicine. Some women may suffer from the condition of excessive coldness in their bodies. If a woman's body is too cold, it will not only affect her menstrual period, but also her ability to conceive. So drinking Chinese medicine to expel cold is a good choice, so what are the symptoms of drinking Chinese medicine to expel cold?

Different ways to expel evil

Because evil qi enters the body at different locations and has different properties, it causes different diseases. Moreover, the constitutions of different people are also different. Therefore, there are various ways to expel evil qi. Referring to Mr. Wang Zhenglong's point of view and combining it with my own clinical observations, generally speaking, pathogenic qi can be discharged through the following channels.

1. Extremities:

The hands and feet are the very end of the body's limbs and are also the easiest places to expel evil spirits. Generally speaking, the source of evil energy is also its way out. Most of the time, evil qi invades the limbs, from the skin to the trunk and to the internal organs. When expelling evil, it will be expelled from the same path it came from. In my clinical observation, pathogenic qi that invades the human body is often discharged from the body through the Baxie, Shixuan, Bafeng, Qiduan, Laogong, Yongquan and other acupuncture points of the hands and feet in the form of cold wind (wind), cold sweat (cold), sticky sweat (humidity), etc.

When expelling disease, a pain transfer reaction may occur in the meridians. When the pain moves, the places where the disease passes are often accompanied by feelings of pain, soreness, swelling, numbness, and itching.

2. Skin:

After the Yang energy is activated, the body regulates itself and the cold air is expelled from the body through the skin. When the skin expel cold, you will break out in cold sweat; when the skin expel moisture, you will sweat profusely, even sticky sweat. Some people's sweat is like glue or butter, dark in color, smells bad, and is extremely sticky. When sweating, you should wipe it dry with a dry towel in time, avoid being exposed to wind, and never rinse with cold water. Some people also develop rashes, which is also the result of toxins in the liver and waste being discharged from the body. This type of reaction is more common in people with allergic constitution. My experience is that based on the location where the rash is discharged, we can infer the meridians that expel evil. For example, if a rash appears at the Yongquan point on the sole of the foot, it means that the evil toxins of the Shaoyin meridian have been discharged. If it occurs on the back of the foot, it means that the toxins of the Yangming meridian are being discharged. The same is true for other parts.

Some patients develop small white particles on their faces after taking the medicine, which are like rashes but do not itch. This is because the patient's Wei Qi is deficient and is insufficient to circulate fluids and expel sweat. After the Yang Qi in the middle burner is replenished, the Ying and Wei Qi are sufficient and the evil Qi is eliminated, which causes it to penetrate upward and outward through the skin.

Another reaction is the shedding of the hands and feet. Generally, if the disease is in the upper part of the body, it is often expelled by shedding the skin of the hands. If it is in the lower part, it is often expelled by shedding the skin of the feet. When molting, its hands and feet shed a layer of old skin completely like a snake sheds its skin. It looks very strange, but the new skin after molting is bright and fresh. The old Chinese medicine doctor Li Ke also observed that some patients would shed a layer of skin all over their body, and serious illnesses would be cured, which is quite miraculous.

3. Urine :

Patients with drinking disease suffer from edema. Once the Ren meridian is unblocked, water and fluid will be excreted through urine and feces. After the water is discharged, the edema will subside. Summer heat is also excreted through urine. For those with summer heat, the urine is extremely yellow and there is a stinging pain in the urethra during urination. The stinging pain in the urethra disappears after urination. At this time, you should drink more warm water to help detoxify.

4. Digestive tract:

Many patients will experience constipation or diarrhea after taking the medicine. They go to the toilet several times a day and always feel that their bowel movements are not smooth. Or constipation and diarrhea may alternate. But it will not be particularly uncomfortable. Continue taking the medicine and the constipation and diarrhea will disappear naturally in five or six days. These are all gastrointestinal reactions, which play a vital role in the entire process of disease treatment. Because the gastrointestinal tract is the channel for most pathogens to be excreted from the body, too much waste and toxins in the body are mostly excreted from the large intestine, so its reaction is extremely complex. When having diarrhea, patients may have diarrhea 3 to 10 times a day. One of my patients even had 15 bowel movements a day. The stools were black, smelly, or watery, but they did not feel tired. Instead, after having a lot of diarrhea, the patients felt unusually relaxed and not tired at all. Clinically, it is common to see that many patients with yang deficiency of Taiyin or Shaoyin constitution develop diarrhea after taking Sini Decoction. These are reactions to the expulsion of evil qi from Taiyin.

Some patients may experience gas moving in the abdomen, or feel bloated, or feel pain, or fart frequently, or burp frequently after taking the medicine. This is when the Yang Qi is sufficient, the functions of the internal organs are restored, the function of the Qi in the middle burner is promoted, and the body begins to expel the stagnant Qi, which is a good thing. People who have liver disease or stomach disease generally have this reaction. Once the gas is expelled, the disease will be almost cured.

If the pathogenic factors are in the upper part of the body, vomiting is often used to expel the pathogens. For example, lung cancer patients will experience frequent vomiting and spit out sticky sputum after taking Chinese medicine. This is because after the positive energy is restored, it tries to expel the evil energy that is stagnant in the upper part of the body through vomiting. Traditional Chinese medicine has three ways to expel evil: sweating, vomiting and defecation, and vomiting is one of them, and it is also a very important method.

5. Respiratory tract:

The cold air that invades the Du meridian and the Taiyang meridian may be expelled through sneezing. If the Yin Tang is affected by wind and cold evil spirits, it may be discharged through runny nose.

Clinically, patients are often seen to have dry cough or excessive sputum, which does not stop day and night; or they suddenly become afraid of cold and wind, have a lot of runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing, which is very similar to a cold. This is the reaction of the positive energy of the Taiyang Meridian attacking the evil. The evil qi once entered the body through the Taiyang meridian, and now it passes through the Taiyang meridian again when being discharged, so a sudden cold reaction will occur. At this time, you can change to taking a large dose of Sini Tang combined with Ma Huang Tang to enhance the therapeutic effect. If accompanied by high fever, it will generally subside in one to three days, and most of this fever only affects the upper body. You can also take Ma Huang Fu Zi Xixin Decoction, 30 grams each. One or two doses can subside the fever and expel the evil. These are all reactions of the body's efforts to expel wind and cold evil spirits. Generally speaking, various diseases caused by wind and cold can only be cured by expelling the wind and cold from the body.
