Bleeding between nails

Bleeding between nails

Usually when your fingers are injured, bleeding will occur between the nails. The most important thing to do is to solve the bleeding problem as soon as possible and stop the bleeding in time. If the wound is not that big, you can disinfect it yourself at home, but if the tissue has been injured, you must go to the hospital in time, so as to prevent more serious sequelae and deal with it as soon as possible.

(1) Capillary bleeding: Blood seeps out from the wound or around the wound. The amount of bleeding is small and the color is red. There is no obvious bleeding point and the danger is low. This bleeding often stops on its own. Usually, after disinfecting the skin around the wound with iodine tincture and alcohol, cover the wound with sterilized gauze or a clean handkerchief or cloth and tie it tightly to stop the bleeding.

(2) Venous bleeding: Dark red blood flows out of the wound slowly and continuously. Then, due to local vasoconstriction, the blood flow gradually slows down and the danger is relatively small. The method of stopping bleeding is basically the same as that for capillary bleeding. Elevating the affected limb can reduce bleeding. For example, placing several layers of sterilized gauze or a clean handkerchief on the bleeding site and applying pressure bandage can achieve the purpose of stopping bleeding.

(3) Bone marrow bleeding: The blood is dark red and may be accompanied by bone fragments. There are fat and oil droplets floating in the blood. Use dressings or clean multi-layer handkerchiefs to pack and stop the bleeding.

(4) Arterial bleeding: Blood spurts out with the beating of the heart. It is violent and bright red in color. The amount of bleeding is large and the speed is fast, which is very dangerous. In first aid for arterial bleeding, indirect finger pressure is generally used to stop the bleeding. That is, at the proximal end of the bleeding artery, press on the bone surface with the thumb and other fingers to stop the bleeding. Along the course of the artery, the part that is easiest to press is called the compression point. When stopping bleeding, you should be familiar with the compression points of the main arteries. This method is simple and easy, but because the fingers are easily fatigued and cannot last long, it can only be a temporary first aid method to stop bleeding, and other methods must be used as soon as possible.

(5) The commonly used pressure points of indirect acupressure are as follows: If there is bleeding in the front of the head, press the temporal artery; the pressure point is in front of the ear, and use the fingers to press the bone surface of the mandibular joint. If there is bleeding on the face, press the facial artery. The pressure point is 1.7 cm in front of the mandibular angle, and press with your fingers directly against the mandible.
