How to perform liver cyst puncture

How to perform liver cyst puncture

Liver cysts are quite common in our daily life. Sometimes, liver cysts are quite large and will compress the liver tissue and adjacent organ tissues. The patient will have obvious abdominal pain, bloating and other symptoms, which are quite harmful to the patient. At this time, liver cyst puncture may be required. The puncture method is relatively simple. After the puncture, the patient must understand some precautions and get enough rest.

How to perform liver cyst puncture

The general steps of the operation are: 1. The patient lies in supine or lateral position. 2.Ultrasound examination is used to determine the puncture point. 3.2% lidocaine was used for local infiltration anesthesia to the liver capsule, and the puncture needle was inserted into the cyst to extract the cyst fluid. Then, an appropriate amount of anhydrous ethanol was injected according to the size of the cyst. 4. After the operation, remove the puncture needle.

Precautions

1. After the operation, instruct the patient to change his position so that the ethanol can fully contact the cyst wall. 2. Lie flat for 24 hours after the operation and observe the pulse, blood pressure and abdominal condition. 3. The amount of ethanol injected into the bladder must be less than the amount withdrawn.

Contraindications

1. Severe bleeding tendency. 2. People who are allergic to alcohol. 3. The cyst is connected to the bile duct, the cyst is located in a position that is not easy to reach by puncture, or the puncture route will inevitably damage adjacent organs, large blood vessels and bile ducts. 4. Patients with other serious diseases, high mental stress and uncooperativeness. 5. Hydatid disease of the liver.

What are the causes of liver cysts?

1. Bile duct lesions

When the bile duct is diseased, it will inevitably cause gallcyst. The lesions of the bile duct mainly include inflammation or edema, which leads to bile retention and lesions. If the bile duct ruptures due to contusion or other problems, a lot of bile and even blood will appear in the cyst, which is also a symptom of the cyst.

2. Liver damage

Cysts can also occur when the liver is damaged, but this type of cyst is different from cysts caused by congenital factors. Liver damage can cause systemic problems or cause necrosis of some tissues.

3. Parasites

Parasitic cysts are primarily caused by contact with livestock, most commonly in western cattle ranching. In addition, some foods may contain these worm eggs. If they are accidentally eaten into the stomach, they may cause liver cyst disease, because these worm eggs enter the liver through the blood flow and slowly form liver cysts.
