How to deal with sore throat

Because the vocal cords are distributed around the throat, and the vocal cords play an important role in the development of the human body, but when people speak loudly or for a long time, it is easy to damage the vocal cords and cause throat pain. So in daily life, even when you are talking, you should pay attention to your volume. However, some people have sore throats because of yelling. What is the treatment method at this time?

1. Treatment methods include

It's really not a pleasant feeling to swallow your anger, but sometimes, swallowing can be truly painful.

A sore throat is often an early sign of a cold or flu. But it may also be caused simply by other viral or bacterial infections. Sometimes, a sore throat can simply be caused by dry weather or yelling.

2. Take buccal tablets

If the sore throat is caused by a viral infection, antibiotics will not help, but phenol-containing lozenges may be of some help. Phenols kill surface germs, thus helping to control invaders until the body's resistance can develop. At the same time, the mild phenolic effect can paralyze nerve endings and prevent the throat from feeling itchy and painful. The dosage of lozenges varies, so please refer to the instructions when purchasing and using them.

3. Use spray

Similarly, using a phenol-containing throat spray can also relieve discomfort. However, its effects are less long-lasting.

4. Take zinc lozenges

Zinc lozenges can help sore throats caused by colds. "We gave the subjects one tablet of zinc gluconate (23 mg) every two hours. We asked them to hold it in their mouth and let it dissolve slowly instead of swallowing it. As a result, not only was the sore throat relieved, but other cold symptoms were also relieved," said Dr. Davis. But he warned against using such high doses of zinc for more than seven days in a row to avoid interfering with other minerals in the body. If you don't like the taste of zinc, you can try zinc lozenges.

5. Wash with salt water or other solutions

If you have a sore throat when you swallow, the pain is probably not too deep and can be treated by gargling with salt water or other solutions. But be aware that if you have a hoarse voice or a cough, the pain may be deeper. At this time, gargling with salt water will not help.

Salt water: Add 1 teaspoon of table salt to 1 pint (about 0.5 liters) of warm water. This is about the same concentration as saline solution, so you will feel it is very gentle. Rinse once every hour without swallowing the salt water (if you are concerned about your sodium intake).

Chamomile tea: Soak 1 teaspoon of dried chamomile powder in 1 cup of hot water. filter. Use after lukewarm.

③Lemon juice: Squeeze a few drops of lemon juice into a large cup of warm water.

④Whiskey Add one tablespoon of whiskey to 1 large cup of warm water. Gargling your throat with this liquid will help numb a sore throat.
