A man did it for five and a half years and lowered his blood pressure and blood sugar

Liang Shaochun, director of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Fifth Jinan Municipal Hospital, has been walking to work every day for five and a half years and taking a one-hour walk after meals. He is over 60 years old and had high blood pressure and blood sugar levels before. After several years of walking exercises, his blood pressure and blood sugar levels have dropped significantly. He said:

“Related medical research has shown that walking is a very good way to exercise the body. Walking every day can significantly reduce high blood pressure, diabetes and other diseases.

Nowadays, some citizens take a taxi or elevator to go to the gym to exercise. In fact, it is not as energy-saving and good for exercising as walking to work every day. ”

Don’t disbelieve it, walking is neither walking with big strides nor jumping around until you are sweating, it is just walking at a slow pace, chatting and looking at the scenery!

Taking a walk after a meal is a more acceptable form of exercise than special walking exercises. Although the method is simple, if you say, "I will only walk for a day or two and then stop there," you can't blame others if there is no effect!

The power of persistence is unmatched by any panacea, and the effect is amazing.

A hundred practices are worse than one walk

Mr. Yu Jianmin, who is over 60 years old, is also a walking enthusiast. After retirement, he suffered from chronic diseases, so he started walking as an exercise. Here are some of the benefits he gets from walking:

Walking opens up the meridians.

Walking is a good aerobic exercise. My experience is that it is best to walk until your body is warm and sweaty, which promotes metabolism, makes my mind clearer and my brain cells more active. A hundred exercises are worse than one walk.

Walking helps blood circulation.

It can exercise leg muscles and make legs full of vitality. The constant flexion and extension of the legs can squeeze the blood vessels in the lower body, allowing blood to flow back to the heart.

It can also make various parts of the body function better, promote metabolism, reduce high blood pressure, and increase the amount of oxygen contained in the blood.

Happiness comes from walking.

Walk here and look there, the beautiful environment, fresh air and bright sunshine will bring you a good mood.

The charm of this walk lies in its casualness and ease. The pace is neither fast nor slow. It is like meeting with a few close friends and chatting about everything under the sun while walking. There is no restraint among each other and it is a great pleasure.
