What is anal prolapse?

Many elderly people and infants suffer from a difficult-to-talk-about disease, which is rectal prolapse. What is anal prolapse? Perhaps many people who have not experienced it don’t quite understand it. Some people don't even understand how they got rectal prolapse. In fact, every disease has its own cause. Just a little attention can improve or even avoid the occurrence of this disease.

In fact, rectal prolapse is when the intestines in the human body fall out of the anus. This process is difficult for many patients to accept and is extremely painful. Why does this disease mostly occur in the elderly and children? Experts say that rectal prolapse is more common in children under 5 years old. This is because children have delicate physiques, incomplete development of various organs, weak vitality, and the sacrum has not grown. The rectum submucosal tissue is also relatively loose, and the rectum lacks the support of the sacrum. The rectum is almost straight and vertical to the pelvis, which makes it more mobile and not conducive to fixation. It also increases the load on the anal sphincter. Children are also prone to malnutrition, whooping cough, enteritis, diarrhea and other diseases during childhood. Long-term increase in intra-abdominal pressure and loss of the pulling and fixing effect on the rectum are also the main reasons why children are prone to rectal prolapse. The elderly have weak qi and blood, which can easily cause rectal prolapse.

In addition, many diseases that are not treated in time can also cause rectal prolapse. Internal hemorrhoids are a type of hemorrhoids. In the early stages, internal hemorrhoids protrude from the anus during defecation, and the hemorrhoids retract on their own after defecation. The hemorrhoids are purple or bright red, shaped like strawberries, and the mucosa is thin and prone to bleeding. If internal hemorrhoids are not treated for a long time, long-term prolapse can lead to prolapse of the rectal mucosa, which in turn causes rectal prolapse; the second is constipation: because constipated patients have difficulty defecating, straining to defecate can often cause rectal mucosal eversion, causing rectal prolapse; rectal mucosal relaxation: rectal mucosal relaxation is an early symptom of rectal prolapse. If not treated in time, it can cause eversion of the rectum, anal canal and sigmoid colon, causing rectal prolapse.

Therefore, people who have suffered from hemorrhoids or children and the elderly should develop healthy eating habits in their daily lives, pay attention to eating more vegetables and fruits, and try not to eat chili peppers or drink alcohol. Get as much exercise as possible to boost your immunity. These aspects all help prevent the disease of rectal prolapse.
