Why do I often have breast pain?

Breast pain generally comes from the intercostal nerves and the innervation of the third and fourth cervical nerves. Therefore, breast pain is mostly a non-tumor benign disease rather than a specific symptom of a certain type of disease. However, if the pain is caused by breast hyperplasia, active treatment is needed. If a woman feels frequent breast pain, it is recommended that she see a doctor as soon as possible to identify the cause so that she can receive symptomatic treatment.

1. Concept

Fibrocystic breast disease is a hyperplasia of the breast that refers to the proliferation of mammary epithelium and fibrous tissue, the structural degenerative lesions of mammary tissue ducts and lobules, and the progressive growth of connective tissue.

2. Causes

The main cause of the disease is due to endocrine hormone imbalance. If the disease occurs before menstruation or when one is in a bad mood, it is basically caused by endocrine disorders and no substantial breast lesions will occur. If the pain is always persistent, you should seek medical attention in time to find out the cause.

  1. symptom

When breast hyperplasia occurs, pain in both breasts is mostly severe, with one side being more severe and often presenting a cyclical pattern. The breasts swell and ache before menstruation, and the pain eases and disappears on its own after menstruation. In some patients, the pain may radiate to the armpits, shoulders, or back.

  2. harm

There are many types of breast hyperplasia. Some are completely physiological and will resolve on their own without special treatment. Others are pathological and require treatment, especially cystic hyperplasia, which should not be taken lightly due to the possibility of cancer.

  3. examine

It is recommended to go to the hospital for breast ultrasound and breast mammography examinations.

  4. treat

In addition to active drug treatment, you should also pay attention to the following points in your daily life: 1. Have regular check-ups, exercise more appropriately, and keep a good mood. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that negative emotions can cause liver qi stagnation and rib pain, and that the breasts and liver are closely related. 2. Do not abuse contraceptives and beauty products containing estrogen. The occurrence of breast diseases is closely related to estrogen, so you should avoid foods containing estrogen in your diet and do not eat chicken or beef fed with estrogen, otherwise it will aggravate the condition. 3. To prevent obesity, eat less fried foods, animal fats, sweets and excessive tonic foods, eat more vegetables and fruits, and eat more whole grains; you should eat more high-protein, low-fat foods. High protein can supplement more amino acids in the body, increase the patient's nutrition and resistance, and a low-fat diet is to avoid excessive fat intake, which will accumulate in the breasts, increase the burden on the breasts, and worsen the condition.

    4. Live a regular life, combine work and rest, and get enough sleep; keeping bowel movements smooth will relieve breast pain.

  5. prevention

    1. Eat less high-fat, high-protein, low-fiber foods. At the same time, smoke and drink less, and eat less spicy and irritating foods. Eat more cabbage, kelp and soy products. You should usually wear bras with good support. Wearing inappropriate bras will also affect the health of your breasts.

    2. Live a regular life, be in a good mood, eat a light diet, do not squeeze your breasts; drink plenty of water, and pay attention to proper breast massage.
