Acute salpingitis

Acute salpingitis

When acute salpingitis occurs, the lesions of the disease in one's body are mainly caused by inflammation of the body's endometrium. If the disease comes from acute pelvic inflammatory disease, the lesions are very extensive. Congested areas of tissue such as the fallopian tubes are also prone to exudation, and purulent exudates and other things in the cavity will flow into the pelvic cavity.

Pathogenic microorganisms can be detected in the pus of the exudate or the mucosal surface of acute salpingitis. If acute fallopian tube inflammation is not discovered in time during treatment, it may turn into chronic fallopian tube inflammation due to untimely diagnosis and treatment, or the chronic fallopian tube inflammation in the body may develop into an acute attack, both of which have disastrous consequences.

Symptoms include acute onset of lower abdominal pain and heaviness; frequent and painful urination; bloody vaginal discharge; chills and fever, and possibly abdominal distension, constipation or diarrhea. If the disease occurs during menstruation or after miscarriage, the amount of bleeding will increase and the menstrual period will be prolonged. Further questioning may include a history of contact with gynecological diseases or sexually transmitted diseases.

Physical signs may include high body temperature, rapid pulse rate, muscle tension or resistance, tenderness, and rebound pain in the lower abdomen. Gynecological examination may reveal purulent and bloody discharge from the vagina and cervix, cervical congestion, easy bleeding when touched, and pain when lifted. The adnexal area is tender and a painful mass may be palpable. Posterior fornix puncture can extract a small amount of purulent fluid.

Auxiliary examinations include increased white blood cell count, increased neutrophil and multinuclear leukocyte count, and rapid erythrocyte sedimentation rate; posterior fornix fluid test shows a high number of white blood cells, and endocervical smear (or culture) or PCR technology testing may detect pathogenic microorganisms such as gonococci and Chlamydia trachomatis. Ultrasound scanning can reveal fluid dark areas in the uterine and rectal crypts, and images of inflammatory masses or fluid dark areas in the adnexal area.

After acute salpingitis occurs, there are many causes of it. For example, sexual transmission in daily life is also the main cause of acute salpingitis, as well as unclean sexual intercourse, promiscuous sex, and husbands being infected with sexually transmitted diseases and then repeatedly transmitting them to their wives are all causes of this acute salpingitis.
