What to do if granulation grows after hemorrhoid surgery

Hemorrhoid surgery is a surgery performed to treat hemorrhoids. Although it is the most direct and fastest way to treat hemorrhoids, many problems will arise if reasonable conditioning is not taken after the operation, such as the growth of granulation tissue at the surgical site. If granulation tissue appears after hemorrhoid surgery, in addition to active treatment, certain nutrients should be supplemented, such as zinc, vitamin E, glucose, protein, vitamin A and vitamin C.

Zinc

Zinc can combine with vitamin C to participate in the synthesis of collagen in the body, increase resistance and promote wound healing. For deep wounds or cracks, surgeons often use zinc oxide ointment, which has a better therapeutic effect. If patients take appropriate amounts of zinc-containing medicines after surgery, their wounds will heal faster. This is because zinc can maintain normal adhesion of epithelial mucosal tissue, so wounds heal faster. Foods containing zinc include corn, soybeans, radishes, mushrooms, nuts, animal liver, fungus, kelp, seafood, eggs, meat, whole grains, and nuts.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E can maintain animal reproductive function and promote wound healing; when vitamin E and vitamin C are used together, the two will complement each other and enhance their effects. Foods containing vitamin E include cereals, green leafy vegetables, egg yolks, nuts, meat and dairy products. Wheat germ oil is rich in vitamin E, which can reduce scars caused by injuries or surgery, and can also reduce the marks left by acne on the face; it is also a natural antioxidant.

glucose

Sugar is the main energy provider for the human body, and supplying adequate energy is essential for wound healing. During the wound healing period, you can eat more fruits rich in sugar, which can not only increase the sugar content but also provide sufficient vitamins. Fruits contain more glucose, especially grapes and strawberries. The content of brown sugar in sugar is relatively high.

protein

Protein can promote wound healing and reduce the chance of infection. Foods rich in protein include various lean meats, milk, eggs, etc.

Vitamin A

Can promote wound healing. It is mainly found in foods such as carrots and tomatoes. Vitamin A helps in cell proliferation and growth. When animals lack vitamin A, their growth stagnates significantly.

Vitamin C

Can promote wound healing. It exists in various vegetables and fruits, mainly green vegetables, spinach, oranges, red dates, kiwis, citrus and grapefruits.
