What is sepsis

What is sepsis

We may have heard of sepsis in our daily lives. This is a disease that is very harmful to people's health. Once you get this disease, it is difficult to treat. There are even many patients who, by the time the disease is discovered, are already in the middle or late stages, causing serious physical damage. But do you know what sepsis is and how to treat it?

Diseases like sepsis are intractable diseases. After sepsis occurs, we must know everything about what sepsis is, because sepsis occurs because pathogens or conditional pathogens invade the blood circulation of the human body to grow and reproduce, producing toxins and other metabolites, causing acute systemic infection. Clinically, the main symptoms of this sepsis are high fever, rash, chills, joint pain, and hepatosplenomegaly.

It is a systemic infection caused by pathogenic bacteria invading the blood circulation, growing and multiplying therein, and producing toxins. It is easy to occur when the human body's resistance is reduced. The main clinical manifestations are chills, high fever, symptoms of sepsis, rash, joint pain, hepatosplenomegaly, septic shock, migratory lesions, etc. Most of them are acute, with severe conditions and poor prognosis. It is now further believed that sepsis is a series of chain reactions caused by pathogenic bacteria and their toxins and metabolites entering the bloodstream and activating and releasing inflammatory mediators.

Sepsis itself has no special clinical manifestations. The symptoms seen in sepsis can also be seen in other acute infections, such as recurrent chills or even chills, high fever that may be flaccid or intermittent, a rash dominated by petechiae, arthralgia involving large joints, mild hepatosplenomegaly, and severe cases may have changes in mental status, myocarditis, septic shock, DIC, respiratory distress syndrome, etc. Sepsis caused by various pathogens has different clinical characteristics.

When sepsis patients suffer from the disease again, their physical constitution is poor and the symptoms are very severe, and the illness will last for a long time. We need to have a reasonable understanding of what sepsis is and the symptoms of the disease. When treating the disease, we still need to pay attention to supplementing various vitamins and energy compounds.
