2. Intestinal ascariasis Adults with intestinal ascariasis usually have no special symptoms, but may also experience emotional instability, irritability, dizziness, decreased work ability, etc. Those with a large number of ascaris in the intestines may experience varying degrees of gastrointestinal symptoms, such as increased appetite or anorexia, picky eating, and even pica. Children with the disease often have loss of appetite and nausea; there are often sudden onset of transient dull pain or colic around the umbilicus, which often recurs at irregular intervals, without abdominal muscle tension and tenderness. A small number of children with the disease may have symptoms similar to peptic ulcers, but the symptoms disappear after anthelmintic treatment. Infants and young children often have symptoms of indigestion. A small number of children may vomit ascaris due to high fever or other reasons, or expel ascaris from the anus. Severely infected children may develop malnutrition, developmental delay, mental retardation, itchy skin, bruxism or convulsions. Very few patients may experience neurotic vomiting, persistent rash, visual impairment, hearing loss, muscle paralysis, skin angioedema and thrombocytopenic purpura.

The above are the symptoms of ascariasis, including sudden upper abdominal colic and some radiating pain in the lower abdomen with nausea and vomiting. In severe cases, there may also be symptoms of urticaria, skin itching, angioedema and conjunctivitis. Therefore, its treatment in daily life is also relatively critical, and it must be treated in time in daily life.
