Symptoms of steroid dermatitis

Symptoms of steroid dermatitis

Among many skin diseases, the incidence of dermatitis is very high. And because it is too common in our lives, many patients do not pay attention to the disease at all. When the disease occurs, they usually just apply some antipruritic drugs. In fact, if you want to completely solve the problem of dermatitis, you first need to have a more detailed understanding of dermatitis so that you can treat it thoroughly.

When clinically introduced, it is divided into different types according to different causes. Although hormone dermatitis is not common, it is a relatively special type of dermatitis. In order to help patients with hormone dermatitis get rid of the disease better.

First, please understand the symptoms of hormonal dermatitis.

1. There is obvious itching or burning sensation in the local area.

2. The skin may develop secondary symptoms such as atrophy, stretch marks, telangiectasia, purpura, acne, abnormal pigmentation, rosacea-like dermatitis, perioral dermatitis, hirsutism, indistinguishable ringworm, ichthyosis-like changes, etc.

3. When high-efficiency corticosteroids are applied externally to the same area for more than 3 weeks, erythema, papules, dryness and desquamation may occur on the skin.

4. Once the medication is stopped for hormone-dependent dermatitis, within 1-2 days, the skin at the medication site will develop significant symptoms such as erythema, papules, chapped skin, desquamation, small pustules, itching and tenderness.

If patients with steroid dermatitis apply the medicine, their symptoms will improve rapidly. However, once the medicine is stopped, symptoms such as erythema, papules, and desquamation will reappear. When the medicine is used again, the above symptoms will quickly subside, but will recur rapidly when the medicine is stopped, and the condition will gradually worsen. This disease is obviously dependent on hormones. If it is not treated for a long time, it can cause serious damage to the skin.

After understanding the symptoms of hormonal dermatitis, patients need to pay attention to the fact that it is more difficult to treat hormonal dermatitis, especially when it forms a dependence on drugs. As long as the drugs are stopped, the symptoms of hormonal dermatitis will recur. In order to completely solve hormonal dermatitis, you must pay attention to medical treatment.
