How to deal with moderate sunburn

The weather is hot in the summer and the sunshine is very abundant. At this time, the ultraviolet radiation is also more obvious. If you spend too much time outside without taking good sun protection measures, ultraviolet rays will cause certain harm to our skin. If moderate sunburn occurs, it means that the injury is more serious and you need to apply cold compresses in time to help cool down. You can also apply aloe vera gel to improve the situation. Let us learn about this aspect.

How to deal with moderate sunburn

1. Use cold compresses to help cool down

When your skin is sunburned and peeling, you must not apply skin care products first. The most important task is to cool the skin first. If the skin peels after being exposed to the sun, it means that it has been seriously injured and must be cooled before recovery can begin. You can use ice compress to cool down. Wrap the ice in a towel and apply it to the sunburned skin. Apply it 3 to 4 times a day for 30 minutes each time. Cold compress can not only lower the skin temperature, but also relieve the pain caused by sunburn.

2. Apply aloe vera gel

After the sunburned skin cools down and then begins to repair itself, you can apply aloe vera gel to repair the skin, because aloe vera gel is extracted from natural plants and has no toxic side effects. Aloe vera gel contains a variety of elements that help promote the healing of skin wounds, reduce swelling, and inhibit the formation of melanin to protect the skin. It is best to apply aloe vera gel once in the morning and evening. You can also put the aloe vera gel in the refrigerator to cool it down before use, which will have a better effect.

3. Apply cucumber juice

Cucumbers contain a lot of water, which can effectively replenish the water lost by the skin due to sun exposure. The vitamin C contained in them can inhibit the formation of melanin, enhance the skin's regeneration and repair ability, and prevent skin peeling. Peel the fresh cucumber and fry it into juice. After washing the sunburned skin, use a small brush to dip the cucumber juice and gently apply it on the skin. After 20 minutes, rinse it off with clean water.

4. Chilled skim milk

Skim milk not only has the effect of whitening, but also contains a large amount of enzyme ingredients, which are beneficial for reducing inflammation, swelling and soothing the skin. When the skin is red, swollen and peeling due to sun exposure, milk can be used for care. Put the milk in the refrigerator, take it out after refrigeration, wash the sunburned skin with clean water, then use a cotton pad soaked in milk, gently apply it on the sunburned skin, and wash it off with clean water after about 20 minutes.

5. Pay attention to a light diet

After the skin is sunburned, you should not only take care of it from the outside but also pay attention to internal adjustments. Drink more water and eat fresh vegetables and fruits. This can enhance the moisture in the skin and relieve the symptoms of dry skin. At the same time, vegetables and fruits are rich in vitamins, which are beneficial to the rapid recovery of the skin and promote wound healing.
